威尼斯海景會館 — Hotel in Xiaoliuqiu

We chose Venice Seaview Hotel because it was the only legal B&B (one that is registered with the county government and passed inspections) on our short list, and we were very happy of our choice after spending two nights there.||||We were greeted by the host at the lobby, who showed us around the property and gave us a thorough virtual tour of places to visit and restaurants that are open during the low season. He also brought a few extra towels to our room after learning that we were going diving.||||The B&B is located in the southwestern shore of Liuchiu, about 10-minute drive away from the bustling pier area. The ocean view rooms have unobstructed view to the Taiwan Straight, and one of the best beaches of Liuchiu is across the road.||||The room was pretty sizeable but with limited amenities (could definitely use a wardrobes and a few more hangers). The bathroom was huge, and like many B&Bs in Liuchiu, stocked with regular size, bio-degradable amenities and provide no single use plastic amenities. The bathroom also has a fancy circulater, which came in handy in drying our wetsuits. The only complaint we had was that the lighting on the balcony cannot be turn off, and made in-room stargazing impossible.||||We really enjoyed our stay. What a wonderful place to rest! The room is spacious and spotless clean. The most relaxing experience we’ve had in Taiwan. The exhaustion of travel from the last few days disappeared the moment we entered the room. The scenery is nice and the location is quiet. Wi-fi wasn’t great and we had some trouble but I think having weak internet is a blessing in disguise in this island, because there are so many things to do!
