Posted review on wrong building. FYI Lakeshore Hotel consists of 3 buildings, a 4th is under construction. My partner & i stayed in the main building (tranquility building) closest to the sea as we wanted an ocean view room. When the sky is clear we could see sunrise from our room. The trees lines however are quite tall, obscuring a portion of the ocean view from level7. But it was still beautiful, 5 mins walk to pebbled beach (no swimming, beware of rip tides). The restaurant is in main building, buffet breakfast+lunch served in the same session mainly Taiwanese cuisine, selection does not change tho its a decent spread. Restaurant closes 1.30pm, reopens 5pm for alacarte dinner. dinner honestly was really good, note that they close at 8.30pm, signature dishes limited daily portions, will be sold out. Most restaurants close around the same time at 8.30pm so do take note, location of hotel is 20-30 mins drive away from main Hualien town centre so there isnt very much else in the vicinity. Not related to the hotel, there is a small restaurant across the main building cant comment on food as did not dine there but service is just bad thus just to set expectations: reservations required, went down to book in person when they opened at 5pm for same evening 8pm, pre-order required for their popular dishes, went down at 8pm sharp was told they lost my reservation, and they were full anws. I repeated by booking & pre-order details, was first in line but was only seated 40mins later despite some tables having previously cleared out. Waited 5-10mins for menu, had to walk over to ask for it and to place order which lady informed us they sold out of the items i had pre-ordered. So we left without dining and as it was almost 9pm by then where restaurants were all closed, we had to get a taxi to minimart to buy convenience food for dinner. So just a word of caution if youre planning to dine there.. Lakeshore hotel however was just fantastic, entire team were all super fab, housekeeping extremely prompt in delivering requested items, and a shout to their F&B staff "yiping yao". Her service stood out as she served us at the tea cafe in the 2nd building, we met her again during dinner at main restaurant on 2 different nights and she remembered us and said hello. She's always cheerful, she bothered to explain the presentation of the tea, ingredients, snack pairings. she did the same when serving dinner dishes, and genuinely asked for feedback on our dining experience. Its with staff like Miss Yiping that elevates guests experiences to another level, due to her added personal touch despite our interactions being ever so brief. Room itself is spacious and clean, we appreciated that the toilet is separate from the bath&shower for privacy. Good ventilation in both, theres also a dehumidifier or an air purifier in the room? Room isnt too drying. Toiletries provided upon request, but body soap & shampoo (2 in 1) and conditioner provided. They are however extremely drying for the hair and the conditioner does not help much. Definitely could improve in the quality of soap. Super nice large square bath to soak in whilst enjoying the sea view, but no bath items provided (would be nice with bath salts!) Bedding subjective but oh my were they super comfortable! Such amazing sleep every night. Minibar is free and restocked daily, they have a bottle of the popular lemon drink! No coffee machine however, water dispenser in the hallway and they kindly provided a pitcher to fill up with. Seating area a little too low for eating and for working. Pool is a little small and gym is super sad, 3 treadmills thats all. Great accommodation for just chilling in the room with a nice view, which is exactly what we came for! Untapped potential to enhance resort entertainment facilities such that guests dont necessarily need to step out of the...
Read moreWe all had a great three days here. The room is clean and tidy and the service staff is friendly. The hotel's dinner and breakfast are all delicious, with more choices. There are no shops around. I would suggest that if you need to buy something, go to the city and buy it before coming back.
There are several things in the hotel that can be improved………. 1: There are two large windows in the bathroom but having to step into the bathtub to reach the curtain cord is inconvenient and adds to the danger. Maybe add an electric switch. 2: Breakfast and restaurant are in other buildings, which is inconvenient without any covered connection when it rains. 3: When checking out,(10:30am) it was strange to find that the housekeeping staff also used the same elevator as the guests, because guests with luggage could not enter the elevator at all. I even heard other guests complaining that they could not enter the elevator after waiting five times.
Isn’t there something good about the design? This is so weird and really needs to...
Read moreI had a great experience with Lakeshore Hotel Serenity. I like their breakfast but there was a lot of people when we went at 9am. Pool was nice but also very packed. The rooms are spacious and clean. And we got free lemon juice in our fridge. I love the lemon juice.
The hotel staffs were polite and knowledgeable.
One down side is that there wasn’t much to do around the hotel. And that I wish the hotel check in staff told me about the classes that were offered by the hotel. I checked in at 3pm and walked around to find out that they have this tea class going on in the yoga studio. I didn’t know that they have this tea activity at 4pm and they wouldn’t let me join when I went at 4:15pm. They said I need to sign up at the front desk. I asked the lady at check in what amenities there are in this hotel and No one told...
