My stay at Africa Safari Arusha hotel was so fabulous I stayed twice! This place is paradise.
As a solo traveller and young woman in Africa for the first time, the staff have been so welcoming and really cared for my safety by arranging transportation for me. They really care for your experience and are very accommodating ensuring not to wake you if you are sleeping, making meal times a bit later if you ask (due to day trips) and will pack you a free breakfast for safari if you ask nicely too. They even had a member of staff help me check out at 5am! They have all been extremely friendly and this has really felt like my home.
I stayed in the upgraded accommodation and I would highly recommend these rooms as they are extremely spacious and clean. They have a safe, walk in showers and a massive and extremely comfortable double bed. This is perfect after a long flight and/or camping safari.
The food is also very good with amazing choice of local dishes and western food for kids (pancakes, French toast, burgers etc.). The only thing I would say is that there are no high chairs for very small babies - I met a couple here who needed this but it was not a big deal! If you really like a meal you have the staff are always happy to make similar things. For example, I really liked the vegetables and had them with every meal. The portions are also massive so this is very good value. It is $7 for lunch and a bit more for dinner. The pool is also exceptionally clean.
One of the days was cloudy and the staff organised for me to walk around the village of Sakina escorted by Shabani. The people of the village are very friendly and are very welcoming of tourists. I also felt very safe.
Overall I really enjoyed my stay here and it could not have been better. Dickson, the hotel manager, was particularly helpful and improved my stay by helping me in any way possible. He is a fabulous host and made me feel very relaxed. Shabani is also excellent at his job. I very much enjoyed the village walk with him and he always made sure I was happy and had everything I needed.
I would not hesitate to come back so please do book to come here and do not be put off by the...

Read moreDo not stay in this place! I have been robbed by hotel staff in the very first day. I went to hotel restaurant for a dinner and when I come back to my room my camera bag was gone. I lost around $6000 worth camera, lenses and a drone. Someone from staff entered my room while I was eating and took my backpack like also charging batteries next to the bed. Hotel management delayed calling police and if fact they never called it, police never arrived. I had to make management to take me to the police station. Procedure to get police report took over a day and police didnât do anything. Once police arrived at the hotel, they served them a breakfastâŠafter they ate breakfast they just left property. Police didnât search a property, staff basically they did totally nothing. Hotel also canceled my booking via booking.com to unable me to leave a review inside booking.com. Iâm in contact with booking.com to remove this property from their listings as this is not acceptable that platform such a booking.com represents thieves! If you want to save yourself hard time DO NOT STAY THERE! Once I moved to Moshi local people told me that Arusha has the highest robbery level in Tanzania. Please be careful if you decide to stay in this town. Also area is very bad around the hotel, you canât do much if you donât have booked any day trips! Food was ok but definitely...
