My stay at Africa Safari Arusha hotel was so fabulous I stayed twice! This place is paradise.

As a solo traveller and young woman in Africa for the first time, the staff have been so welcoming and really cared for my safety by arranging transportation for me. They really care for your experience and are very accommodating ensuring not to wake you if you are sleeping, making meal times a bit later if you ask (due to day trips) and will pack you a free breakfast for safari if you ask nicely too. They even had a member of staff help me check out at 5am! They have all been extremely friendly and this has really felt like my home.

I stayed in the upgraded accommodation and I would highly recommend these rooms as they are extremely spacious and clean. They have a safe, walk in showers and a massive and extremely comfortable double bed. This is perfect after a long flight and/or camping safari.

The food is also very good with amazing choice of local dishes and western food for kids (pancakes, French toast, burgers etc.). The only thing I would say is that there are no high chairs for very small babies - I met a couple here who needed this but it was not a big deal! If you really like a meal you have the staff are always happy to make similar things. For example, I really liked the vegetables and had them with every meal. The portions are also massive so this is very good value. It is $7 for lunch and a bit more for dinner. The pool is also exceptionally clean.

One of the days was cloudy and the staff organised for me to walk around the village of Sakina escorted by Shabani. The people of the village are very friendly and are very welcoming of tourists. I also felt very safe.

Overall I really enjoyed my stay here and it could not have been better. Dickson, the hotel manager, was particularly helpful and improved my stay by helping me in any way possible. He is a fabulous host and made me feel very relaxed. Shabani is also excellent at his job. I very much enjoyed the village walk with him and he always made sure I was happy and had everything I needed.

I would not hesitate to come back so please do book to come here and do not be put off by the...

This is one trip we shall remember in a very long time.|As it was a recommendation when we enquired about one of their other property and we are glad we decided to take the road trip.||The glamping experience was worth the long drive. Beautiful modern tents with an inside and outside bathroom...comfy and very clean rooms and this was important having travelled with the kids.|Service team was exceptional especially Mathius from Restaurant/Bar Lounge and he ensured our meals were served promptly and with flair...wish we could share all the napkins designs...😊|Fred the manager on duty was there to welcome and we saw him frequently over the course of our stay.||We got to meet the chef on our last day and it was a joy to enjoy his hot meals.||Top location with a beautiful pool and views of Lake Manyara and the hills nearby.||Downside were the roads leading to the property - those are a nightmare and a danger to travel on especially during the rainy season..passed through open bridges and crossed a stream...😓 Roads half washed away and generally, not sure l will recommend a visit without a 4x4 vehicle or during these rainy season..hope something the government/TANAPA can work on as it's also a road leading to Lake Manyara National Park.||BUT.....on getting there...it was all worth it..and we could literally feel the city stress melt away in the midst of the quiet nature, bird sounds and clean mountain air.||A place once the roads are set, we would love...

Do not stay in this place! I have been robbed by hotel staff in the very first day. I went to hotel restaurant for a dinner and when I come back to my room my camera bag was gone. I lost around $6000 worth camera, lenses and a drone. Someone from staff entered my room while I was eating and took my backpack like also charging batteries next to the bed. Hotel management delayed calling police and if fact they never called it, police never arrived. I had to make management to take me to the police station. Procedure to get police report took over a day and police didn’t do anything. Once police arrived at the hotel, they served them a breakfast
after they ate breakfast they just left property. Police didn’t search a property, staff basically they did totally nothing. Hotel also canceled my booking via booking.com to unable me to leave a review inside booking.com. I’m in contact with booking.com to remove this property from their listings as this is not acceptable that platform such a booking.com represents thieves! If you want to save yourself hard time DO NOT STAY THERE! Once I moved to Moshi local people told me that Arusha has the highest robbery level in Tanzania. Please be careful if you decide to stay in this town. Also area is very bad around the hotel, you can’t do much if you don’t have booked any day trips! Food was ok but definitely...

A really really nice place to stay, with comfortable beds in the room and really good bathroom. (Which can we hard to find in Tanzania from our experience). Pool is also really good. And the garden with the abundance of different birds is really nice. BUT, the only downside was the food/kitchen, for breakfast it was a buffet which is okay. But we ordered lunch three times and every time we needed to wait at least 1,5 hour. The second day I got a really moldy green hamburger bun, which I returned and got another free wrap instead. A decent cook/chef would have seen this and told the staff. Dinner is also buffet style, but the quality is just not good enough. If you are paying €50 a night, than the food needs to be a lot better than this. And lunch and dinner is not included in this price by the way. All in all, a really nice place to stay, with lovely staff, but they have to do something about the kitchen.

I was so excited to stay at this place because of the great reviews, but its an old moldy dump! I came to my room (it was one of theirs “luxurious” rooms and mold was what I smelled right away! The ceiling is all wet, just look at my picture! You cant even open your windows in the evening and night because there are no mosquito nets in windows and I kept waking up with windows totally sweaty (my second picture). The place is so old. The road to the place is so horrible that every taxi driver wanted extra $10 just to go there! The stuff is a mess. I asked them to store some biltong (dry meat) which I brought in their freezer for me to find it being served in their buffet breakfast 2 days after!!!!! They also tried to charge me some drinks which werent mine at checkout! Like never again! I have no idea who rated this place so good!

It's a nice place and the management are so considerate, but not great...the customers service is rated 5 from the scale of 1-10, the place is clean but not that big, there's a pool, they offer nice breakfast and the environment all green. And you need to know all the rooms have no wifi, you will have to go down to the reception to be able to use the internet, expensive for real, they charge in dollars $$ which to me its sounds somehow, Best place for vacation and relaxation, just that the road lead to this place so bad, is not only here tho Arusha doesn't really have tiled nice road ....main roads are tiled but most other streets not tiles...Except for the cost of food, bad road and internet not available in the rooms....I think if anyone doesn't care about this sure they can go for it.
