From start to finish, our safari in Tanzania was absolutely unforgettable. We booked it through Shemeji Safari, and Neema Thomas ensured every detail was perfectly organized — the whole process was very organized.

But what truly made our trip special was our guide and driver Hamis Barie. He was a real travel companion the whole way through and we call him friend now.

On our first day at Tarangire National Park, Hamis spotted the animals from away, and made sure we never missed a thing. Also we went through a lot of mud and almost got stucked.

In the Serengeti, we saw, cheetahs, elephants, giraffes, zebras and wildebeests (infinite!). Hamis gave us front-row seats to nature in a way that we’d never imagined. We had lunch just side by side with Lions. Also, we stopped a few times to help other cars that got flat tires on the road.

She was able to quickly customize a quote for my husband and I after telling her what our vision was.
