CAMP: Located in Seronera in central Serengeti, this camp is near to the Seronera river - many camps and lodges are located in this area but this camp still feels quite remote. There is a common tent that serves as a lounge and a dining area. There are also benches and comfortable chairs outside the common tent. Our first night here the wi-fi wasn't available but it got fixed for the next night. It reaches some of the rooms. Staff was great and made sure all was well with our stay. TENT: The guest tents have an enclosed sleeping and bathroom area. There are some tents that are connected by a common areas with couches and a table. Everything inside the rooms was perfect. FOOD: Dinner was served at 7:30 in the evening. One night we had a self-serve buffet and another the staff served us our entree plates. They were very on-top of our group's dietary needs, providing extra vegetable option for the vegan/vegetarian members, and rice and corn flour pancakes for gluten-free bread option. I also got fresh fruit for a vegan dessert option. Breakfast had many options available from the kitchen on request - eggs, toast, pancakes, meats. One thing I love about this camp is that the lunch boxes are prepared the morning of with guests having the ability to choose what goes into the lunch box - we found that most lunchboxes had too much food and allowing people to choose what they do/do not want reduces waste dramatically. SUMMARY: I would certainly...
Read moreThe location shown on Google Maps reflects the November to March location of the camp in the southern Serengeti. They pack the whole camp up in 8 large trucks and relocate it to the northern Serengeti each year in April and from May to October its located close to the Kenya border. For a camp which has to move so often, its quite an amazing setup and we loved staying here. The 10 person staff was incredibly attentive to our needs and super friendly. You really feel like you are in the middle of nowhere, with elephants wandering by in the morning and other animals at night. The food was outstanding. This was the only camp I stayed at in the Serengeti so I can't compare with the others, but we were extremely pleased...
Read moreThe Ang'ata Migration Camp is very nice. The tent is great and provides everything what you need. In the afternoon, a giraffe was only around 100 meters aways from our tent. It was very great to sleep there where all the animals are living. Even if animals can come very close to the tends, we felt very safe, because all the time there was a guard.
The service was amazing! We had a lot of fun with the people there and they even provided us a nice dinner next to the bonfire (probably, since we were there for our honeymoon).
Although we were at this camp for only one night, we will never forget this place. The people working there provided us an...
