Blue Elephant Hostel — Hotel in Arusha

We have had a wonderful time staying with our host Agness at Blue Elephant Villa. The room was very clean, the bed comfortable with a large, separate bathroom and our own veranda where we had Agness’s delicious omelette & fresh fruit breakfast every morning! ||The location is good. There are local shops and bars just around the corner. It’s a 40 minute walk into the centre or about 6000-8000 Shillings for a Bajaj. ||But most importantly, it is the staff who make this place wonderful. We can’t praise Agness enough,she opened up her heart and home to us. Nothing was ever too much trouble and she even looked after us when sick.||We booked our Safari with Greg Adventures which is part of the same organisation and from the moment we were picked up from Kilimanjaro Airport to the time we were dropped off, the service was seamless. We had nothing to worry about. ||Simply Agness and her team have made our time in Arusha a fabulous experience...

I spent longer time in Blue Elephant House and it was the best place to stay! The accomodation is very cozy and has a very good vibe. Always filled with nice and friendly people. The stuff will take a very good care of you - always helpful and kind. The place has also very good location - you can easly get to town but on the other hand the house itself is in calm area. They also offer breakfast or if requested lunch and dinner as well - I highly recommand you to try it out as the food tasted very good and you can try some Tanzanian specialities. The location is great and the rooms are comfortable and have a private shower that has hot water. The information about the rooms needs an update to describe everything better, and the kitchen is a shared facility. The only disadvantage is the shared kitchen, so you may just have to wait, so just get in early. Staff and owner are nice, but breakfast is ok but more options would be great as with any breakfast of course. Good place to stay for your next visit.
