This is one of the most unique places we've stayed in our travels. It is completely tucked away in a village quite far outside Arusha town. Our safari guide had a hard time finding it. It's less of a hostel than a home stay, which can be kind of interesting. Breakfast and dinner are included in the cost. Dinner was simple but good. The power went out on our second night but they still managed to cook dinner by flashlight. ||||The room is average with everything you need. Washrooms are not the cleanest or most well kept but will do the trick for a couple days.||||Fido, one of the owners, is a rap artist and has a recording studio in the house.||||There was a brand new litter of puppies while we were there and it was a delight to hold them and take photos.||||Getting here was kind of a disaster. We took the airport shuttle and arranged a pickup from the shuttle stop. Don't expect a card with your name on it or anything like that. Just two intimidating-looking guys in a big truck blasting rap music. Go in expecting that and you'll be fine. We, on the other hand, were kind of nervous and unsure about the whole thing.
