We had the absolute pleasure of celebrating Kat’s 50th birthday at Kigelia Africana, and it couldn’t have been more perfect. The setting is stunning — a beautifully restored house nestled among trees, with warm lighting and an inviting atmosphere that made everyone feel instantly at home.

George and the team were incredible hosts — attentive, friendly, and genuinely passionate about making the evening special. Every detail, from the setup to the flow of the evening, was handled seamlessly. I stayed at Kigelia Africana on Sunday, August 24th and was thrilled by the experience. The view of Mount Meru is astonishing and I felt like I was wayyyyy out in the bush. I enjoyed my coffee sitting in the extra large king-sized bed, with the entire front of the room open and facing the mountain, thinking that this must be the most beautiful place in the world to wake up.
