We stayed here 1 night after visiting Manyara lake and on the way to Serengeti. Average tented lodge in need of freshening up (maybe just ours) - the tents were located in the scrub so no view. The reception was not particularly friendly and the porters were not happy when we said we would tip at the end of the stay in the tip box. On the other hand the restaurant service was excellent and there is a great view from the bar over the lake. Would not stay here again if we returned. I would highly recommend doing the cycling tour of the nearby village of Mto Wa Mbu.

We spent one night here and the staff was great, the rooms were very nice with a porch and view towards Lake Manyara. The road getting it is very rough, bumpy and long. That was the only real negative. The staff at the restaurant were great, they had Coca-Cola and other refreshing beverages. The buffet was well stocked. Having Massai people onsight was always nice. People are so nice in Tanzania. The three of us enjoyed our stop here. Thanks.

We had a wonderful 2-night stay there at the lodge. It beat any expectations that I had prior to going. We were welcomed by the staff with smiles and juice. The check-in was easy, and we were shown our way to our room by the local Maasai. We stayed in #24. If you can, ask for that! It has a beautiful view of Lake Manyara and is just gorgeous. The bed was large and comfy. The bathroom was large and plenty of room for 2 people to get ready at the same time. They also spray down your room at night and prepare your room for bed. Dinner was scrumptious. They offer you a menu of the day with a 3-course meal, soup, main entrée and sides and dessert. The Butternut Squash soup was impeccable. There was plenty of food and everyone was kind and treated you like family. We also had box lunches from them. There was sooooo much food and it was all good!! We had beef, a vegetable empanada (it may not be called that but that’s what it reminded me of), fruit, yogurt, cookies, bread, a boiled egg and juice. There was plenty of food!! I highly recommend staying there along with using their services for box lunches!! This is a place where they treat you like “familia”, family!! Thank you for a...
