We had a wonderful 2-night stay there at the lodge. It beat any expectations that I had prior to going. We were welcomed by the staff with smiles and juice. The check-in was easy, and we were shown our way to our room by the local Maasai. We stayed in #24. If you can, ask for that! It has a beautiful view of Lake Manyara and is just gorgeous. The bed was large and comfy. The bathroom was large and plenty of room for 2 people to get ready at the same time. They also spray down your room at night and prepare your room for bed. Dinner was scrumptious. They offer you a menu of the day with a 3-course meal, soup, main entrée and sides and dessert. The Butternut Squash soup was impeccable. There was plenty of food and everyone was kind and treated you like family. We also had box lunches from them. There was sooooo much food and it was all good!! We had beef, a vegetable empanada (it may not be called that but that’s what it reminded me of), fruit, yogurt, cookies, bread, a boiled egg and juice. There was plenty of food!!
