We stopped at Lake Duluti first to rest before our safari. The lodge is in a beautiful location, surrounded by trees and a nearby lake which give it a peaceful setting.||||Meals tasted delicious and were served in style with white linen tablecloths and napkins. We found the lodge to be very reasonable about making adjustments in the menu and preparing and cooking foods to our preferences. ||||Our room was wonderful. It was comfortable, impeccably clean, and very quiet. It was in a contemporary style chalet with glass doors that opened to a wraparound deck where you could sit and enjoy nature.|| ||Laurent, a very knowledgeable and entertaining man, gave us the history of the coffee plant. We also participated in the roasting of the coffee beans all the way to a cup of coffee we were able to sip and enjoy. It was one of the most memorable parts of our trip.|| ||Unforgettable too, was watching the black-and-white colobus monkeys that gather in the treetops. These monkeys rarely visit the ground, so it is difficult to see them, but when they start calling and chasing one another it is an amazing sight.||||Above all else, we would highly recommend this lodge for the kind, friendly people who do everything possible to make your...
Read moreFriendly staff. Very attentive. Always greeted the guests with a smile. Outstanding service and the food delicious. They surprised my mom with a cake and an African birthday dance too! The cabanas are spacious. The twin sized beds are very soft but challenging for anyone used to a queen or king size beds. Make sure to take their coffee tour or walk around the lake. The bathrooms are large with a big shower and bathtub. You may need to use your own slippers. My sister said the slippers had no grip. Amenities excluding toothbrush & toothpaste (for hygiene reasons) are provided for. The wildlife can be heard particularly monkeys. I saw some lakeside and they discreetly hang around outside the dinning room area. I am told to close the doors as they can come inside your room when you leave. They didn't cause me any problems. Internet is a bit dodgy but don't let that ruin your vacation. I enjoyed my stay at Lake Duluti Lodge and won't hesitate to...
Read moreTucked away from the main road and surrounded by lush greenery, Lake Duluti Lodge was the perfect respite after a long day of travel from the USA to Tanzania. We arrived after 10pm, travel weary and hungry and we were met by the staff with scented warm towels and a welcome drink. What’s more, we had a delicious, healthy 3 course meal waiting for us. |The next day we all wanted to chill and recover so we didn’t leave the lodge at all. We took a coffee tour with Laurent who was very informative about coffee and all the other plants around the lodge. We capped the tour with a coffee tasting of the coffee we helped roast. So enjoyable. Later that afternoon, we walked accompanied by staff to the nearby lake, and just went around the property. It was nice that we could do this impromptu.|The best part of this hotel was the staff who were very sincere, kind and helpful. Special mention to Said from the restaurant and...
