My family and I stayed at the Hotel from 30/04 to 01/05/2025 and enjoyed a truly exceptional stay at this beautiful Hotel, which embodies high standards of accommodation.
We were captivated by the hotel's remarkable location. Waking up to the breathtaking views of the Great Rift Valley and the stunning Lake Manyara.
Beyond the spectacular setting, we were deeply impressed by the warmth and professionalism of their entire team. Every staff member we have encountered has demonstrated exceptional hospitality skills, genuine cultural competence, and a palpable sense of trustworthiness. Their dedication to ensuring our comfort and well-being has been truly remarkable.
Furthermore, we have been particularly appreciative of the high level of cleanliness maintained throughout the Hotel and their evident commitment to environmental care. It is reassuring to see such a strong focus on preserving the natural beauty that surrounds them.
We also felt a strong sense of security, which allowed us to relax and fully immerse ourselves in our vacation. The culinary experience at Serena Lodges was another highlight of our stay. The delicious and palatable variety of cuisines and beverages they offered met our tastes and preferences, leaving us thoroughly satisfied after every meal.
Finally, the unmatched entertainment provided, particularly the vibrant Tanzanian cultural dancing and the incredibly talented acrobatics, were a delightful and enriching experience. It has given us a wonderful insight into the rich culture of Tanzania. Thank you once again for creating such a remarkable and memorable experience for our family. We are truly grateful for the exceptional service, the stunning location, and the overall wonderful atmosphere of the this Hotel. We will certainly cherish the memories made here. We highly recommend Lake Manyara Serena Safari Lodge to anyone planning a visit to this beautiful region.

Read moreuring our trip to Tanzania we were looking for a hotel that we can return to again and again, which ensures that after each tour (Lake Natron, Serengeti, Ngorongoro, Lake Eyasi), it is ensured that we can relax both and body and soul.
We chose the Lake Manyara Serena Safari Lodge, which is by far the best hotel in the Lake Manyara area with true luxury.
We stayed in three different rooms, all were comfortable, bright and clean. The rooms are in small bungalows, four in one building. The huge bed is comfortable, the staff takes care for the guest's return from dinner about the mosquito net. There is no television in the room, but it was not missing either. The bathroom is well equipped. On one occasion we also used a laundry service, washed and ironed many of our garments within three hours and the price was very reasonable.
The fire in the huge fireplace in the lounge is both pleasant and beautiful. The quality of dinner and breakfast meets the expectations of a luxury hotel in every respect, including service and selection. Two bars are available, either by the pool or by the restaurant.
The staff is kind and friendly and they have a good knowledge of English. In the evening and at night, the security guards at various points illuminated with a flashlight to help the guests - a gesture of pleasure.
The pool is large, clean and has a beautiful view of the Great Rift Valley. However, the pool water is not heated, so in the late afternoon, when you come back from the safari, you have to be very determined to take a bath. A hotel of this level would expect hotter pool water.
The hotel garden is relatively well maintained and the view from the hotel is beautiful. We heard before dinner, that there was a Masai folk dance show, but we were not particularly interested.
All in all, we got the experience of a real luxury hotel, all at a fairly high price, but the quality of service...
Read moreMy wife and I had the pleasure of staying at the Lake Manyara Serena this past May on our Tanzanian safari. In my opinion, the mark of true excellence is the care taken by a hotel's staff to attend to the needs of its customers. No matter how stunning a property is, or how well-furnished its rooms may be, if the guests do not feel like they are in their home away from home then the hotel has failed.
Nowhere did that statement become more of a reality to me than on this recent trip. My wife became quite ill on our drive from Arusha to Lake Manyara, and though we were only scheduled to stay at this property for one night, we ended up extending our visit by three nights so she could have adequate time to recuperate. The warmth and care exhibited by the staff towards us was truly exceptional. They quickly learned our names and did whatever they could to make us comfortable, from preparing special meals to ensuring that medical care was available. Any request I made of them was granted without hesitation. Every single hotel employee, from the groundskeeper to the manager, greeted us with a genuine smile and a "jambo" in the morning.
Of course, the property itself is stunning - situated at the rim of Lake Manyara National Park, the poolside and dining areas have a sweeping view of the lake below that defies description. The lodges are also incredibly comfortable, and the grounds are immaculately maintained. But as I said before, these features - which would be the highlight of any other resort - pale in comparison to the kindness and generosity of those who work here.
Make no mistake. This is not a five-star hotel in "African standards". This is simply a five-star hotel, and if you have the chance to stay here, you would be remiss...
