Hotel located a bit outside of the city, which is nice. Staff is friendly, but we realized that they kinda lazy and very slow. We booked 2 nights there (one night on the beginning of our trip, second night - on our last day). So staff forgot about our second booking and was very surprised when we arrived (at 17:00 local time). They asked us to wait in lobby without explanation or providing any drinks while preparing our room. So we were left for more then 30 minutes alone without clue what is going on. Cleanness is ok, but towels are very “tired”. After check in we ordered the food and had to remind to the personal couple of times to get it ready. Breakfast was tasty but you will need to wait again. They have regular power outages, despite they have own generators. But! You need to ask them to turn them on, without reminder it will be not done. Was very uncomfortable to pack our staff on darkness. I would rate it as OK, if you don’t have other...
Read moreI loved my stay at Arusha Mambo. this looks like a well kept guesthouse, very clean, a home far away from home more than a hostel. It has nice touches of design and it's quite small, only few rooms, so it feels intimate. the common room with only 4 beds is perfect for a group of friends or solo travelers. I stayed there before my safari. After safari I stayed in a 1 bed room which was lovely. Bathrooms are clean, water pressure ok but the highlight is the people Nam is an angel wanting to help you with a smile and a great cook ( best french fries in the last year!! ) and Isak is knowdgeable and involved to improve the experience. I still miss that nice lobby :) hope to get back p.s. Google maps won't take you there, better ask your driver to call the guesthouse so they'll explain how to get there. I liked the location more in nature, it's silent and green, better than...
Read moreAmazing place ! Everything was sooo neat : from the super clean bathrooms and rooms to the lovely decoration. We opted for the dinner and breakfast on the spot and we couldnt have made a better choice : what a treat ! Fresh and tasty food served by the adorable lady in charge of the place. The owners swang by to say hi with big smiles and willing to help with anything they could. Other guests were in the same mood : relaxed, smily and friendly. Whats more : you can enjoy a drink outside, lying next to the cute bar lit with fairy lights. It was worth the affordable price, definitely. One last thing : i forgot my climbing shoes there and realized my mistake once at the airport, i called the owners and in 5 minutes he called a boda (moto taxi) to bring my shoes to where i was right before my flight ! We cannot recommend enough this...
