An Unforgettable Stay at Neptune Ngorongoro Luxury Lodge 🌟
We stayed at Neptune Ngorongoro Luxury Lodge for three nights in December, and every single moment was pure magic. This lodge is the definition of thoughtful luxury, where every little detail is designed to make you feel truly special.
The location is breathtaking tucked away in lush greenery, offering a peaceful retreat with stunning views. The rooms are beautifully designed, spacious, and incredibly cozy. One of the most heartwarming touches was returning to our room after dinner each night to find the fireplace already lit and a hot water bottle tucked inside the bed a gesture that made us feel so cared for. I’ve honestly never been to a hotel where the staff think of every single detail to ensure your happiness. I was truly blown away by their kindness and attentiveness.
One of my favourite indulgences was their hot chocolate I couldn’t wait to have it every time we returned from our game drives. It became such a comforting ritual, and the perfect way to warm up after a day of adventure. 🥰
The food was another standout the meals were absolutely delicious, with a great variety of fresh, flavourful dishes. The chef is so sweet he would always come and check on us to see if we needed any changes to the food or if there was anything that needed improvement I was so impressed!
A very special shoutout to Khadija, Veronica, Mezee, Fabian, and Ordena ❤️ you all made our stay extra special and truly made us feel like family, thank you for taking care of me when I was feeling under the weather. Your warmth, care, and genuine hospitality left such a lasting impression on us. I genuinely miss you all and hope our paths cross again soon.
Of course, being so close to Ngorongoro Crater makes this lodge the perfect base for an unforgettable safari adventure. After long days of exploring, coming back to such a peaceful and luxurious space was the perfect way to unwind.
If you’re looking for an unforgettable safari experience with world-class hospitality, incredible comfort, and beautiful personal touches, I highly recommend Neptune Ngorongoro Luxury Lodge. Thank you for an experience I will cherish...
Read moreThis was one of my favorite resorts on our safari, and I was really sad we only got to stay one night! The best part about this place is the service. Even though we stayed at the Four Seasons Serengeti, nothing approached the service at Neptune Lodge. When we arrived they greeted us like an army, grabbed our bags, and lined up as we walked in! It was awesome.
Throughout the whole stay everyone was super accommodating and friendly, and it was awesome to have the same people as servers whether it was breakfast, dinner, or lunch. They were all very polite and friendly, and always made us feel comfortable.
The food was good, although not the best we had on the trip. I still enjoyed it and wouldn't really fault it.
The cabin/room was AMAZING! It was my favorite room for my whole month in Africa. It was huge, spacious, cozy, and very clean. The bathroom was spectacular but my favorite part was the fireplaces and the balcony. Having the fire lit when we arrived, then lighting the other side near the beds during turn down service was a wonderful touch.
Speaking of turn down service, not only did they prepare the beds/mosquito nets but they lit the fire, left us delicious (I still think about them) peanut butter chocolate truffles, but they also put a hot water bottle in your bed. Talk about thoughtful! That made it easily the coziest experience I've had in a long time, and I would go back just for that.
All in all a five star place with service and property (impeccable grounds as well, beautifully maintained gardens). The food could use some improvement but everything else was so good I really...
Read moreWe had a great experience at this lodge! I have one minor point below, but overall a great experience. The staff was very helpful and accommodating. The lodges were absolutely beautiful and well-maintained. I loved the hot water bottles in the bed after turn-down service. The food was really good (menu, not buffet) and the chef and staff were attentive to the allergies in our groups.
The grounds were beautiful as were the views. Wifi was good. The pool was really cold.
My minor issue is that they had way too many porters that were a little aggressive. We had small carry-on suitcases with wheels and they insisted on one porter per suitcase, which is a lot! So doling out the tips was really awkward as I didn't have enough for each one (we had 6 porters, when 2 would have been more than enough). When my husband tried to take one of his bags, the lady held onto it and wouldn't relinquish, which was really weird. Also, my son was staying in a different lodge so I gave him some money for tip thinking he'd have 1 porter. Nope, they had 4 and then when he gave one of them the tip, the porter said "is this for all of us?" which is really off-putting. So when we were leaving, I carried our bags to the car as I didn't want to deal with a team of porters again. Minor point, but something for the lodge to...
