Erado Natron Hotel — Hotel in Dar es-Salaam

I can say this hotel is very disappointing. I have stayed there the first night with all my valuables locked in my suitcase and in the room, when I came back to my room after having dinner everything was gone. Cash, ID, drivers licence, credit cards, inssurance card etc. The police was very helpful and together we checked all the video cameras and wrote a report about it. It turned out they had deleted the moment of the robbery on all cameras. The staff members seem to work together and have planned this. The second night strangers tried to get into my room in the middle of the night and were kicking at the door. I know two other guests who have stayed there and for both of them everything got stolen as well. They and me were left with nothing no ID or passport no money and the hotel did nit cooperate at all. At last they accused my own friends of taking my valuables and they disrespectfully told us to pay and leave when we approached them of this horrible behaviour. Can definitely not...

We picked this hotel as we would be arriving late and needed to be closer to the bus station than staying down town. It was basic and dos the job. Although the area was in the Siberia and quite noisy and full of bars, we did not feel threatened and would have liked to have gone out if earlier in the evening.
