G & S Executive Lodge — Hotel in Dar es-Salaam

Had a night halt at this lodge while booked from an app... considering that the place is near the Dar Es Salaam Airport... The reviews in the app were good but our experience wasn't very much great I must say... The rooms however were nice and comfortable for the price. The wifi was also decent and the staff there is good promt and courteous... but the location of lodge is not actually very close to the airport...approx 15 minutes drive. We had booked the taxi from hotel itself for pick drop ..however both the times it was late. The approach road to lodge and location around is not at all impressive ... we had a bad night due to some birthday party celebrations in the neighbourhood which kept on loud music the whole night...apart from that experience of negotiation wrt payment as mentioned in the booking app vs what the lodge wanted (at higher currency conversion rate) was not good at all. You may not appreciate the very limited menu they have to offer and believe me I did not like the preparation at all... so dinner was wasted... the breakfast is served and is very basic... expect bread egg and tea. So in case u want a very budgeted place with a decent room and services...then u can...

Not in a good location at all. Very hard to find and far from the airport although it is advertised as very close....the rough road to the guest house results to the place seeming to be further than it actually is. I booked this on an App, the reviews were good on the app but the reality is different. The room did not have any bedding except two bedsheets, yes it was hot but I prefer to make the choice as the client whether to use bedding or not. The shower didn't work. On a positive side I appreciated the Aircon as the room was quite hot and the WIFI. When I arrived, it seems someone had been staying in the room I was allocated so I assume it was not cleaned and I could see the bedding was not freshly washed. The lady removed clothes and shoes from the room when I was with her. Breakfast was a basic two slices of plain bread and eggs. For tea I got lukewarm water in a rusted flask and a tea bag. In the morning very early the staff start cleaning the outside and there is a lot of disturbance as they converse. Even the Uber driver who dropped me here found the place hard to find and the road...

Needed a place close to the airport to spend the night and booked this place. Located in the middle of nowhere. The hosts seemed to be surprised by our arrival but were still very nice. I’m not sure what was on the outside of our room, possibly a generator, but the room smelt like fuel. The posting on Booking.com was misleading stating that they had 2 restaurants - there was none.
