Deceived by online hotel pix. Traveled all the way from Toronto -The worst Experience no wifi signal in the room i stayed in 108, had to walk down stairs to lobby for signal all time. Room TV displays one local channel also not clear clouded with mist- this is world cup 2022 fever. had to cross the road to watch morocco vs spain with the community guys..was fun tho. To add icing to the cake i went to take my 2nd shower on stay despite water dripping slow like very rationed in tap, when i touched the tap .A worn out plastic holder broke off...when i reported it to the receptionist i was charged 40000tz. No explanation to pay for a worn out tap see pix. What an experience what a way to start a vacation. I am getting done with online bookings. I had to cut short my planned 7 day stay by 2 Oooops its just not fair. I felt robbed the level of unfairness and injustice no mgt person shows up to explain why an old waiting to break tap is my duty to fix. Staff are good tho. receptionist was nice. I could see sympathy in her face when i was tasked to pay for the old tap. I could not appeal in a foreign land were language barier was at play just had to let it go. I can not begin to tell you what a horrible experience our recent stay at the Landmark Hotel in Dar es Salaam was. I don't even know where to begin. The beach was so filthy that you {literally} could not walk out to the ocean. The children were upset because we had told them we were going to go to the ocean and yet, they never even got to put their feet in. There was no hot water in our room to which the staff replied very rudely that children shouldn't bathe in hot water anyway! To top it all off, there was a wedding being held and there was MUSIC SO LOUND until past midnight that it sounded like it was in our room. Multiple calls to management did nothing. If you value a good night's rest, perhaps try White Sands. They are much more what you would expect for a hotel of this price range. AVOID THIS HOTEL AT...
