Unfortunately, my experience was far from satisfactory due to several issues that I encountered during my stay.
Firstly, I was appalled by the rude and unprofessional behavior of your manager and staff. Their lack of customer service skills left me feeling unwelcome and unappreciated as a guest. Additionally, I was extremely inconvenienced by the lack of water in my room. Despite bringing this issue to the attention of the staff, I was not provided with any assistance or offered a solution to the problem.
Moreover, I was moved to three different rooms due to the locking issues with the door, and I was even charged for the additional rooms. It was extremely disappointing that the hotel did not offer any compensation or gesture of goodwill for the inconvenience caused. When I was scheduled to leave, I was asked to provide evidence of payment, despite having already paid in full. This added unnecessary stress to my departure and again showed the lack of organization and professionalism within the hotel.
Overall, I am extremely disappointed with my experience at your hotel. I expect a high level of service and professionalism when staying at any establishment, and unfortunately, your hotel fell short in every aspect. I hope that you take this feedback on board and take steps to address these issues so that future guests do not have to go through the...
Read moreOn a direct flight from Johannesburg to Zanzibar, Air Tanzania flight was delayed, and the direct flight to Zanzibar was cancelled on arrival in Dar Es Salaam. Air Tanzania put travellers up at Hotel Travertine in Dar. Problems - Air Conditioner not working, Toilet had no seat, Toilet leaked all over bathroom floor - Hotel supplied DIRTY sandals for guests to use inthe bathroom. Shower let out 2 weak jets of cold water. Roosters and drunk people outside ensured no sleep. No towels given (Probably a good thing!). No food available for travellers (+/- 9.30 pm). Rooms filthy, stinky, musty and alive with cockroaches. Linen and bedspreads filthy, stinky and stained. Requests for 'housekeeping' to attend to problems ignored flat! Dining room supposed to open at 7am - fruit, bread and jam and eggs available for first few guests - food ran out by 07h00. No facility to make International calls to advise Zanzibar hotels and transport of cancelled flight . Like many travellers, we lost paid-for accommodation in Zanzibar worth hundreds of US Dollars, to be put up in this establishment by Air Tanzania. Worst and most disgusting hotel I have ever seen anywhere in the world, and it is absolutely disgusting that Tanzania's National Airline uses a bug house like this, obviously to reduce costs to an...
