Nashera Hotel Dodoma — Hotel in Dodoma

We ended at this hotel by accident, because the others were full. I do funny enough not think, that was an accident. Firstly, The price for rooms at this hotel is out of dimension. A standard double room with a view at the train tracks cost the same as a deluxe double room in Dar es Salaam with sea view and half board. Therefore, we expected a lot naturally. However, we got a room where the internet connection could not reach the room. We went to the reception and ask for them to solve it. They did find an IT guy quite first, he tried for 1 hour and concluded, that he could not fix it. This was the end of this matter, it was unfixable. This is despite 80/90% of the hotel was available. In the room, only the basic facilities, no sense of details, some of the water facilities did not work, and there was no hot water. Here me clearly now, the hotel is not bad at all, however, they need to half their price or double their service and facilities. It is just out of balance. All in all, use another hotel until...

I felt for the staff here. They seemed to be genuinely friendly and trying their best to provide a good experience for guests but clearly struggled to do so in a very unfavourable environment. This place is in desperate need of some investment. It was clearly once quite smart but has been left to deteriorate. Grounds are very shabby, reception area (part of which is also the restaurant) is sparse and unwelcoming, sizeable area of mould on my bathroom ceiling. Plenty of staff but most seemed to lack any knowledge of what they were supposed to be doing. Incredibly slow service in the restaurant - 30 mins wait for a meal when I was one of only three people dining! This is my first 1 star review of anything.

I have stayed in this hotel before, and my experience wasn't the best, but this time around I booked and confirmed my booking 2 weeks prior to arrival, but still at arrival they had double booked my room. They did not even offer me transport to take me to another hotel. They kept me waiting at the Lobby for over 2 hours, saying they are working to sort out my problem.

I stay at Nashera Morogoro all the time, it's hard to understand that these 2 have the same management.

Please try other hotels, you are very likely to be disappointed here. They are understaffed and the reception staff mostly are unprofessional and lack a work drive. The kitchen and restaurant staff are way more...
