Mloka Safari Lodge — Hotel in Pwani Region

Our Sealous safari trip at Mloka Lodge was a very special experience we will never forget. Nasrin Mbonde was our wonderful guide and driver for two of our 3 days on safari. The experience he gave us we will never forget. He made us feel special and safe and gave us the best experience ever. We got up close immediately to elephants, giraffes, impala, lions, water buffaloes, baboons, monkeys, hippos, hyenas , wildebeest, warthogs, mongoose, zebras, many birds including bee -eaters, vultures, eagles and more. Nasrin provided our lunches taking special care of his hygiene washing hands and spotless crockery. The second day on the ‘hot springs’ safari we had lunch in the open savanna, a table beautifully set up for the 3 of us after Nasrin checked the area for wildlife. We felt very safe. The journey was long however it was a wonderful sight seeing safari all the way there and back. The hot springs were small but a lovely experience swimming in the hot water after a short scramble up to the source of the spring water. Unforgettable and very special. Thank you Mbonde.|We had a further day on a boat safari and a bush walk with our guide Julius and a Masai. The bush walk was fabulous with bush craft tips, tree identification and uses with tasting and the Masai striking up fire quickly and amazingly. Wonderful to see.|The Mloka lodge staff were very welcoming and supportive throughout our stay. The food was excellent. The rooms were very spacious and inviting. We had hot water despite other reviews saying only cold water was available. Wildlife arrived during the evening with elephants, warthogs and water buffalo coming to the waterhole next to the restaurant. It was fabulous. The negatives - the rooms had no air conditioning. It was almost unbearable in the evening making it almost impossible to sleep. The only other negative was that several guests including ourselves’ safe in the room was not working. Despite asking for it to be sorted a couple of times and hanging about for someone supposedly coming nobody appeared. This meant having to carry passports and other valuable around with us. |I don’t want to end on a negative as our experience was unbelievable and I would highly recommend to anyone wanting to experience a safari to book it...

We stayed here for 3 nights as part of our South Tanzania safari adventure. They were recommended by Kihindo Tours and Safaris, and we couldn't have been happier.|The rooms were clean and comfortable with mosquito nets and fans. Didn't have any issues with power while we were there, plenty of outlets available. Showers were on the cool side, but refreshing after a hot day of game drive.|The Lodge was not too far from the main Nyerere park entrance and convenient for our morning walking tour and our evening river Safari excursions.|We found the food to be notably good. Meat was better than at most other places we stayed over the course of 3 weeks. Soup starter each evening was delicious, and they always served good qualities of veggies and fresh fruit for dessert. They make great breakfast pancakes and Spanish omelettes. We especially enjoyed the very flavorful meat patties served at one dinner, and the packed lunches they sent with us each day were also the best of the different lodges we were at. The first one had amazing chicken and veg rolled up in some type of injera like bread. Delicious!|Service was excellent and everyone...
