An amazing all-inclusive resort! ||Food: Only breakfast and dinner are included. You can order lunch from multiple places for a price. An amazing all-inclusive resort!

Food: Only breakfast and dinner are included. You can order lunch from multiple places for a price. Both meals have multiple varieties, and they change it on a daily basis. Food is fantastic. They leave you two trays of fresh fruit and fresh juices every night in your room after dinner. We had to tell them not to do so as we were over eating at dinner.

Shout out to Hamida (wait staff), Luc (food and beverage manager), Omar (bar manager), and Asmin (sous chef).

We were a group of 10. Asmin made south Asian dishes for us on a daily basis in breakfast and at dinner. They were really tasty. Everything is halal, which was confirmed multiple times by staff and our guide.

One night, they had a four course dinner which pretty good.

Also, we had a birthday for one of the young ones. They made a cake and the entire wait staff came to sing the birthday which was a really nice touch.

Staff and service: Staff goes above and beyond to help you. They don’t even expect tips, but a couple of bucks goes a long way. I had a few sea urchins in my foot, and staff helped me remove them with needle! Room service is solid.

Location: Resort is about an hour away from the airport and main city. It will cost you $90 for a return trip. LOVE! LOVE! LOVE! Boy did this place spoil me. My first few days there and i must admit i was BORED! It was an adjustment phase i suppose. I couldn't sort how to get to town which wouldn't cost me a limb and it was also raining excessively to everyone’s surprise. Once I figured out how to do daily escapes and got acquainted with locals, the trip and my stay here became a life changer!

I Just landed back in Germany & wish I could live there. Exceptional staff. TOP NOTCH. Accommodating, friendly, well trained. Great breakfast every single day. Can even bring extra to your room or staff will deliver it. The buffet dinners were my FAVORITE! The Swahili buffet made me SO HAPPY! Great live entertainment and just good calm vibes.

The watersports team was my favorite people to visit daily for great conversations and to learn to swim. I wanted to see marine life so badly! One of the guides took me under his wing and taught me how to swim and snorkel. Seeing those reefs and amazing fish, after only several lessons because of Hassan's kindness & patience took my life goals levels up several notches. I trust that man with my life!

I was only supposed to stay here ten days but was lucky to extend a few days with an upgrade because these people just know how to do their jobs!

Breezes is a 5 star resort BECAUSE the predominantly Black and local staff are so good at what they do. Please tip them regularly and well. This hotel could not be what they are without them.

As a solo traveling snob, I am NOT easy to please. This trip I got SO LUCKY with the reasonable rates and this team was professional from email til the time I left. I had two favorite star servers, Dora and Rajabu who are just shiny examples of why this place is so great. ALL of the staff are highly professional people and we could all be so lucky to stay at a place they are working at.

The location is off the beaten path and getting local transportation into the nearby town might be tricky, but not impossible and worth the effort. You can walk, but good luck. The sunburn is serious and im saying that as a brown skin Black woman.

This is not a party hotel, but if I can return for my birthday with friends in the summer, it will be. 😁

I'm already planning a Xmas 2023 visit back to Zanzibar, but unfortunately I can't stay here this go round. I am so spoiled that I am looking for the Breezes vibe with other places but coming up short.

The only thing I didn't like here was my experience with the dive center which is separate from the hotel, though located on the property.

Other than that, the place is well taken cared of, on the beach and is exactly what you need when trying to unwind.

The internet is really not great here so plan around that. Also, look up! You can see some constellations in the sky. Absolutely amazing!

Enjoy...

A nice resort, but didn’t “wow” us. We went for the latter half of our honeymoon but it didn’t feel special. Rooms - felt dated. Massive bed, which was great. And wonderfully cool from A/C. But lacked the finer touches which would make it 5*. Tea bags & sanitary products not always replaced. Shower has washing products dispenser from plastic box which felt budget. Grouting not tidy. Wardrobe slightly broken. Razor charger coming away from wall. Just felt like the room hadn’t been retouched since it was first designed. Maybe the higher end rooms are much nicer. Thankfully you don’t spend that much time in your room on a beach holiday. One thing that particularly annoyed us was the one bottle of water you get per day in the room - after that it’s $2.70, which feels a lot for a necessity in that heat. There’s water at the breakfast buffet but not lunch or dinner. We felt some judgement when we then brought our refill water bottles filled from earlier in the day rather than buying another bottle at dinner. We had recently come from safari where we had unlimited filtered water, so maybe set our standards too high. Service - everyone very friendly & attentive! Great breakfast servings of tea & coffee. A mix of a la carte dinners & dinner buffets. Very good spread for buffet I’d say, but the a la carte nights felt much nicer - I wish all dinners were all a la carte. Breakfast buffet works well. Great to be checked in on by bar staff while on the beach. Feels like an ever present tip culture, but maybe that’s a US influence vs UK lifestyle. Generally everyone very friendly, maybe some judgement felt at times around not tipping every time on a $3 bill. We found the cocktails to be expensive for what they were. Saying that, the Zanzibar Dawar was delicious! On one day we did the Sultan Bath & couples massage & that was lovely! Followed in the evening by the Tides 2 person private dining experience. That felt really “honeymoony” & would very much recommend! Location - it’s a lovely looking beach & sand to sit out all day. The beach itself does a cool reef walk during low tide, but lots of sea urchins so not sure if a great swimming beach. There are prettier beaches out there. The general resort is kept really clean! Lots of people maintaining the gardens all the time. Lots of tour options to do around the island, not that we did any as we just wanted to beach ourselves. Overall, we absolutely came back feeling very relaxed from the beach resort, which is what we hoped for. I would recommend the resort for a holiday, but not so much for a honeymoon destination.

We spent 5 nights here after a safari in Ol Seki Mara, Kenya, and we are so happy we did! This resort is absolutely stunning, staff are outstanding and the atmosphere is very relaxed. The half board option was perfect for us, meaning we could choose what to have for lunch from an a la carte menu or bar snacks menu instead of overeating at a typical resort buffet every day. Drinks were also always available to purchase with staff available any time you wanted to order. It was also easy to tip when signing for the purchases with option to add a tip on each receipt. Staff were always available to help but everyone was extremely polite and not overbearing. Prices were very reasonable for the large portions, and drinks were also fairly priced with local beverages being much cheaper than imported ones. The food was 10/10, and even the dreaded dinner buffets were exceptional. Dinner set up changes every night throughout the week with 3 sit down meals and 4 buffet nights. We also did a diving experience at the Rising Sun diving centre, and this was a highlight of our Zanzibar stay. Really reassuring and professional staff there. As honeymooners, we also had dinner at The Tides one night which is a small restaurant on the beach available exclusively to 2-4 people. This was great but make sure you arrive hungry! 6 large courses plus drinks were a bit of a challenge for us. I think perhaps they could charge a bit less and serve less food. We only visited the spa for a short complimentary treatment but wish we’d booked more. Really beautiful setting and lovely therapists. Overall - Beautiful grounds, stunning spa, pristine beaches, warm welcome, outstanding food and many small surprises during our stay made it the best honeymoon we could have wished for. We’d recommend Breezes Beach to everyone looking for a relaxed escape in paradise.
