Imara Beach Resort — Hotel in Unguja

We actually didn't stay at Imara, but in a villa next door. I wish we did though! We came here every day for breakfast and/ or lunches or just for a sip of coffee. Obviously, the restaurant is beautiful, it is situated just on the beach, the infinity pool is all about blurring the lines between the man-made and the natural - it has an outstanding view of one of the world’s most photogenic swimming spots. The beach views, calm ocean and ability to watch the sunset on our patio were highlights of the trip! The hotel restaurant was exceptional, not only because every meal we enjoyed had a variety of options and was flavorful but also because the prices were so reasonable for an oceanfront resort! The menu is perfect, something for everyone. But to make it really special, the right level of service has to be also provided and here the restaurant doesn't disappoint. The service was awesome - our waiter, Eddy, was just wonderful- every time we visit. He had just the right balance of friendliness and efficiency. He recognized that we wanted time to visit and did not rush us. He and other staff members made certain that we had everything we needed. Kudos!
