What I liked- The lady who cooked food didn't mind waking up late in the night to cook fries for me. When I sat on the swing, they moved my swing back and forth. It was comforting. They carried my suitcase and bagbto drop me off at the taxi stand at 02:00 in the night on 24th August 2024. The pillows were soft and offered a good support. I liked their mattress and bedsheet and towels too. They had different sorts of seating arrangements. Breakfast was delicious. The chapati was flaky. They combined it with eggs and fruits which made up for a wholesome meal. The staff was chatty. I took 15km long walk on the beach with one of their staff members. Tim sought my help with transferring the scuba dive pictures from computer to phone. He sat with me to negotiate prices too. I liked his courtesy and gesture. Kibwana was my instructor for the dive. I loved how he would let me go close to the white sand and reef 12m below the sea level. He handed over the underwater camera to me. I loved the view underwater. He would take me to the area where no other divers could be seen. I felt like I had the entire reef to myself. The view from the hotel was excellent.
What I didn't like - Toilet didn't have a brush. Shower head didn't dispense the Hot water. I had to collect some hot water in a bucket. The wash basin was too small. The window had a net and curtains but I couldn't close the window as it didn't have a door. Because of this, it didn't offer much privacy in the evening. It was impossible to keep curtains in the place because of high wind. Their menu didn't mention what's the price of rice, beans. So I had to skip...
Read moreThe bungalows are literally on the beach, but it is not really a beach for swimming except for high tide. It’s a great location to do the tours at Mnemba island.
The accommodation was the cheapest in the area, so we were not expecting luxury. However there was no window to close (just insect screen) so it got pretty chilly and we didn’t have a blanket. I wouldn’t recommend for more than 2 nights,...
Read moreSimple accommodation but perfect location right on the beach, you can watch locals play fotbal and listen to the sea from your porch. Very friendly fellas are running this place. Food is excellent. We saw them bring our fish right from the sea and it was delicious. Sadly we missed dolphins and diving because it was bad weather, but these guys are doing these trips for...
