Read moreI was a bit worried about this "budget" hotel because my husband booked it and he is notoriously cheap. But I was pleasantly surprised to find this hotel exceeded expectations for what we paid for!
The room is small. We had a double bed. But it was very clean and modern, with air conditioning and a safe. The bathroom is nice and modern. The shower was excellent!
Breakfast was not included (not was taxes and booking fee) in the advertised price, but for 2 people, we ended up paying about $80 for the night. Breakfast was a decent spread of pastries, instant coffee and tea. But you can order eggs and sausages and espresso.
The beach is a few meters away. There's a path you can take to get there. But we didn't go to the beach as we only stayed the night so we didn't have to drive from Stone Town to make our 9 am dive meet up.

It is an excellent place to stay in Matemwe and I would recommend it to anyone...
