I was a bit worried about this "budget" hotel because my husband booked it and he is notoriously cheap. But I was pleasantly surprised to find this hotel exceeded expectations for what we paid for! The room is small. We had a double bed. But it was very clean and modern, with air conditioning and a safe. The bathroom is nice and modern. The shower was excellent! Breakfast was not included (not was taxes and booking fee) in the advertised price, but for 2 people, we ended up paying about $80 for the night. Breakfast was a decent spread of pastries, instant coffee and tea. But you can order eggs and sausages and espresso. The beach is a few meters away. There's a path you can take to get there. But we didn't go to the beach as we only stayed the night so we didn't have to drive from Stone Town to make our 9 am dive meet up. For dinner, you need to make arrangements with the hotel first. They have a set menu. However, if you want to venture out and have your own transportation, there are restaurants in Matemwe/Kiwengwa you can check out. It is an excellent place to stay in Matemwe and I would recommend it to anyone on a budget!

One of places that suprise you and grows on you so much that you don't want to leave. Let's start with the base - it's a small boutique hotel that has only 8 rooms, but has everything that you need. Run by lovely couple that will tell you everything that you need to know, recommend restaruad and even other places in Zanzibar. On place you have a pool and restaurant that has a different meals every night. Breakfast are good and will set you for a day. Outside hotel there is a small local shop and place to buy fruits. I highly recommend this hotel to everyone for short or longer stays!

Amazing water pressure and temperature Control! Nice local toiletries . Complimentary bikes available aswell as games etc .||Food in restaurant good . Very good value 15usd set dinner ( 3 courses and water ) or a la carte also well priced . Lots of places to eat also walking distance 3-30 mins . ||Situated next to the local village with a small shop for water etc ( 5 min walk ) . Beach 3 minutes walk . You can hear the sea from your balcony . Location was good for me as I do enjoy walking on the beach to places , but don’t expect things at your doorstep . ||WiFi very good . Pool area very relaxing . Very comfortable sunloungers ( not always the case in zanzi ! )Staff super polite . ||Can’t really fault it for the price point and what giorgia delivers , a true retreat . The staff are all so helpful and friendly. The resort is ran by an Italian couple who make you feel welcomed and as family from the moment you walk through the gate.|The food is sooo delicious so try anything you will NOT be disappointed!||Georgia is so quick at offering many amazing things to do on the island and even though I've been to Zanzibar many times she told me about beautiful spots I didn't know of. So ask her anything she has great suggestions... Also don't forget to ask about the Adorable bush babies who visit her nightly ❤️||The rooms are up to date the water pressure is one of the bears I've gotten on the island and the ac blows so nice and cold. The beds are also super comfortable.||I've been to Zanzibar so many times but this is by far one of my most favorite places now and i will definitely be back again. |You will feel like you're in paradise at this tranquil peaceful quiet resort and in less than a minute walk you're at the...
