We recently had the most extraordinary stay at Le Saint Tropez Hotel and I can’t recommend it enough. From the moment we arrived, my fiancée and I were blown away by the exceptional service and the welcoming nature of the entire staff. The check-in process was seamless, and we were immediately made to feel at home. The rooms are absolutely stunning, spacious, beautifully designed, and fully equipped with all the comforts you could need. What truly made our stay special was having our own private pool attached to the room, offering uninterrupted panoramic views of the mighty Indian Ocean. We could relax in our pool while watching the sun set over the horizon—truly a magical experience. The level of privacy and luxury provided here is beyond compare. Room service was impeccable, always timely and delivered with a smile. The rooms were maintained to perfection, and the housekeeping staff ensured we always had everything we needed. Dining was another highlight of our stay. The food was exquisite, (still reminiscing about those mouth watering Samosas and cocktails😊) with a wide variety of options that catered to every taste. Whether we were dining in the restaurant or enjoying meals by the pool, each dish was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The breakfast brunch alone was outstanding , with an array of delicious options made from locally sourced options to start the day. However, what made this stay even more unforgettable was that my fiancée proposed to me at this very hotel, and the support from the staff was nothing short of incredible. From helping him plan the surprise to creating the perfect setting for the proposal, the team went above and beyond to make sure everything was flawless. Their attention to detail and genuine care made the moment even more special. I am truly indebted and incredibly thankful to the amazing team at Le Saint Tropez Hotel for making this moment so perfect. With its stunning rooms, exceptional service, breathtaking views of the Indian Ocean, and the support we received during such a meaningful moment in my life, we will definitely be returning to Zanzibar because of Le Saint Tropez Hotel. Thank you to everyone here for making our stay and our engagement truly...
Read moreThis beach club/hotel is over hyped. It only has 6 villa’s in the hotel. Majority of the reviews are exaggerated or from paid reviewers drumming up & promoting the beach club/ hotel as witnessed from my stay.
I booked for 10 days and checked out by the 4th day because the vibe was dead. The parties and vibes you see on social media is fake and it’s simply paid to make it look wow, in real life it’s not wow.
I checked in Friday & was told there will be a white party in the evening. I was a guest staying but asked to pay $40 to enter as it will be packed. I went to the party with my wife & ordered drinks/shisha only to be the only ones at the party. There were 0 customers in the party LOL! But they wanted us to pay $40! It was simply dead but over hyped.
This was the case at the beach club for the 4 days i stayed it was completely dead with no vibes at all. Yes you will see few people here and there but they are influencers and tiktokers making videos to promote.
The food in the beach club was extremely expensive & simply not worth it.
I requested iron & was asked to pay €4 dollars to use the iron!
Villa was beautiful but it was infested by insects. I was not able to relax on the sun deck or use the swimming pool as the insects took over. The high level of giant ants were climbing everywhere some were huge and dangerous.
The swimming pool was taken over by ants & dead insects and felt disgusted to get in. The 4 days I stayed the swimming pool did not get cleaned!
I couldn’t even have a relaxed shower as there were insects and giant ants inside the shower. Not to mention while sitting on the toilet I was getting attacked by ants.
I’ve never been to a beach club or hotel villa with this level of insect infestation as there are stuff which can be done by hotel management to control or reduce this issue.
Hotel usually provide you with water as standard, i had to literally call or ask every for water yet would only get 2 small bottles for 2 guest which was very limited.
I’ve read comments people saying the best beach club in Zanzibar and etc. thats not true! It’s a dead place overly hyped by paid influencers. You will be wasting your time and money visiting.
Don’t fall for the fake videos on...
Read moreWe went to Le Saint Tropez with the intention of having lunch and spending the day. The place looks very pretty and funky. It's clear that the intention is to be a replica of the famous Nikki Beach. However, it must be clear that they are not Nikki Beach, and therefore they cannot charge Nikki Beach prices.
The food menu is very poor, as is the food quality: we had a Caesar salad, which looked and tasted more like a KFC chicken salad (I have never been to KFC in my life, but I’ve seen their ads—and I now feel like I’ve tried it), and a chicken wrap, which was of far lower quality than the street food you can find in Zanzibar.
To our great surprise, they wanted to charge $40 for a sofa/bed by the pool—on top of lunch and drinks. Absolutely not worth it. Yes, it looks very nice, but this is one of the only places in Zanzibar that charges just to use a sunbed.
Normally, you get charged a fee of $25 per person to enjoy the facilities, and that fee is redeemable towards drinks and food. If you spend more, you top it up; if you spend less, you “lose” the difference. This is more than fair. But to charge $40 for two people to use a sunbed—you really must believe you are Nikki Beach. Definitely need to revise their business model and food quality. As it stands, Le Saint Tropez is by far not recommended.
On the contrary, if you look to spend a day in an upmarket place, I recommend trying places like Fruit & Spice, Kaskazi, Kizincula, Ycona, Waves, BE, or Nanasi—4- to 5-star places where what you spend is...
