After spending four nights in three different hotels/locations in Zanzibar, I can honestly say that this place truly deserves five-plus stars and is a paradise indeed. The location was easy to find, thanks to the signs once you turn off the main road. Check-in was efficient and welcoming, thanks to Sasha, the owner. The entire staff made us feel relaxed and comfortable. A big shout-out to Denis and Alice, the bartenders/servers, for crafting the most delicious cocktails. We left the resort twice to visit Nungwi and immediately regretted it, as we were swarmed by beach boys and people trying to get our attention.
The room itself was unique, which is what attracted me when searching for a waterfront hotel. The igloo (or bubble) was spacious, featuring strong AC, a fan, plenty of outlets for charging, a sofa, and both a double and twin bed. The outdoor bathroom took a little getting used to at first, but we didn’t have any issues with it.
The food was the best we had on the island, with a variety of great options, including beef pho, fish soup, burgers, and Swahili dishes. The breakfast was decent, with various egg options available.
As someone who prefers to explore, I initially thought we would spend less time at the resort. However, it offered so many activities—such as paddleboarding, kayaking, a pool, a jacuzzi, a bar, and a mini gym—that we ended up staying mostly on-site. We also enjoyed playing with the resident cats and dogs.
Overall, it was a fantastic way to end our 11 days in Tanzania. The resort was fairly intimate, with only ten igloos, which allowed us to make new friends. Just a tip: be sure to bring beach towels, shampoo, and...

Read moreI've got mixed feelings about this place...the food was really very good, service was good but the staff is hard to communicate with, except the lady owner but we hardly saw her as well. Great location with beautiful sunsets as well. The male owner was in the jacuzzi from early afternoon till late at night, as a guest I wanted to enjoy it with my partner alone and look at the stars but we couldn't get in even once as it was occupied by the owner the whole time. So not sure if it is only for the owner or guests which is right next to the pool...I don't know. There is a gym which was nice and canoes you can use to go out on the beach. Le saint tropez is next door, they play a lot of music during the day and night, which didn't bother us much but it is something to take note of. For the room, a mirror would be nice to have in the room and some water on arrival would be nice or even some welcome drinks as other places do. Every time we came to the hotel back from somewhere they have these doggies that are very excited to see you and we love animals so that is different from other places we visited which is nice. I will defintely go back, just hoping they will see my feedback and work on the small things. See...
