Milele Lodge — Hotel in Unguja

We visited Miele Lodge/Kae Zanland in Sep/Oct 2016 (8nights)|The place is very peaceful and relaxing.. |All of the staff are really friendly, helpful and always here if you need anything! We felt like that place is our second home and the stuff is our family!! The owner(Talib) is really nice person, which help you anytime, anywhere and anything. Also can help you to organize the trips around to see the real Zanzibar. |We also met some kind of special friendly man in this relaxfull place (his name is Dutchi)-he is a bar man / organizer.. He is here, whatever and whenever you need.|The food is really good, amazing fresh breakfasts, tasty lunch's and dinners for really good prices.|The room is very clean and all the windows are protected with mosquito nets, like bed. Outside in the sharing big peaceful garden there is the gardener, which takes care that everything is perfect all the time. |The location of this magical place can shows you how near is to the beach, where you are welcomed to paradise. Different story like in other "tourist" places in Zanzibar. |If you want to take relax, enjoy the vacation and not be lost in a mass of tourism, than we recommend you this place!|If we will come back, it will be for sure that on this place.||Thank you so much for everything! |We hope to see you...

I spent a few days at Kae Zanland in December over my birthday, the staff were incredibly helpful and always went the extra mile for us... even surprised me with a home made cake on my birthday! The beach is beautiful and the water is warm, food is great and Dutch makes THE BEST cocktails (ask for a Bahama mama ;))||||Not that many people know about it yet, as it's still reasonably new and a little bit off the beaten track. (hidden gem!)||Taxi's in Zanzibar are quite expensive - we caught a daladala from the ferry and had no problems getting there. Definitely one of my favorite lodges to stay in Zanzibar, steps away from the most beautiful long & quiet white sandy beach. The lodge is quiet & spacious with comfortable private & shared rooms. Amazing hot showers with good pressure & everything is well maintained & clean. Beautiful garden with palm trees & flowers. Very good local Swahili food, coconut curry & excellent spicy pilau rice, seafood bbq’s, well priced, good breakfast. Good speed free WiFi & lots of space to work or chill.
