Peninsula Beach Resort — Hotel in Ko Chang

Overall, Peninsula is a great choice !

Views: The beauty of the beach and sunsets in Peninsula is breathtaking.

Room: The room is spacious, the bathroom is amazing and the cleaning team very friendly and efficient! Wi-fi was excellent and the sea view is top.

Breakfast: Breakfast options are a good mix of local and european food. Only the staff at the breakfast in the morning was not the friendliest and they should do something against the little flies landing on the fruits and fresh vegetables.

Dinner: The restaurant is good! Both thai and european options were enjoyable, and the staff in the evening was adorable. Tip: if you need a change, there is a very nice restaurant juste outside the resort with friendly owners called "Restaurant" that offers very nice thai food

Location: This part of the island is beautiful but quite remote, which is what some are looking for. The local village nearby is nice but if you want more food options and nice bars you'll have to cross the big hill which is not ideal at night. It's maybe more an hotel for short-stays.

Reception is very very far from the rooms, and not indicated well. Room was nice and comfy but shower has trouble giving hot water and you have two keep a button pressed to get the overhead shower, which makes it unusable. The view from the room is nice looking into the beach and the sea, but there is a big lack of privacy. Rooms are in betw en the pool and the massage place, people walk by constantly and look in your room; there is no partition between your neighbor's terasse. There eis also a locked door connecting the two rooms, making them not soundproof, you can hear everything going on in the room next to you. The rooms are very well kept, big with excellent view. The breakfast was adequate but limited. Personally found the coffee better than most places. Room service staff were very good and made our stay extremely comfortable. However, the restaurant and other staff members delivered average service. If I were to compare with someone used to Asian standard of service and hospitality, I would rate it max 6.5/10. As per EU standards, service was good. The location is quite far, but honestly didn't bother us as all activities had pick up & drop service and we had come to relax.
