Friendly Koh Jum — Hotel in Ko Jum

Friendly is a great option for people on a budget looking to stay on Koh Jum. Me and my wife stayed for 4 nights in room 3 and loved it. Koh Jum is such a chilled out island and this place is the perfect complement to it. The site is peaceful and although the huts are fairly basic they are set in a beautiful garden and exactly what you expect from island living. The lady who runs the place is great and the staff will do anything they can to help you out, it feels like a real family business. We ate in the restaurant every morning and night but never got bored of the food. The breakfast is relatively basic but the choice of eggs, bacon, toast, fruit and pancakes is all we really wanted. Our evening meals were some of the best we have had in Thailand. Good honest Thai food with European options for those who want them. On arrival you are given a metal water bottle and free use of the refilling facilities which was a great touch considering the plastic pollution concerns of most travellers nowadays. You can also rent scooters and bicycles on-site which takes the hassle out of getting around the island. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone...

Nice small resort, accommodation in wooden bungalows, unfortunately without air conditioning, only with fan. At each cottage a small balcony for a quiet evening sitting. The resort is about 500m from the beautiful beach with beautiful evening sunsets. Everybody gets a thermo bottle and can pour water from the dispenser at the reception for free. Breakfast can be selected from 4 offers, but overall not so good. If you are concerned about the noise, then you should know that there is a path leading to the beach through the resort. Booked in here for four days having read the somewhat out of date reviews. We endorse everything other travellers have stated. The bungalows are rustic, charming and comfortable. We love it here and the dinner we had last night was excellent. So much so, that I personally thanked the chef and shook his hand for its presentation and taste.
