As John Lennon once sang; ‘Turn off your mind, relax, and float down stream’ THIS is the place for the ultimate in relaxation and pampering! It is the exact opposite of the chaotic, rat race western world I arrived from. Everything has been thought about at this amazing eco resort! Upon arrival we were greeted and offered ice cold, lemon grass scented wet towels to refresh us after our pleasant boat ride to the island What unfolds before your eyes is a pristine tropical paradise! Manicured gardens lead to you the beach front pool, bar and restaurant serving delicious Thai cuisine and offering scrumptious cocktails to sip (through a metal straw as you will not find awful, marine life harming plastic straws here) whilst taking in the vista of the Andaman Ocean overlooking Phi Phi Island. The restaurant offers, breakfast, delicious Thai dishes, sandwiches, burgers and snacks for you to enjoy throughout your stay. Themed food nights give guests an option of different world cuisine. Thursday night was BBQ night and Friday’s offering was Indian Cuisine. Walking through the lush jungle path we arrived at our detached villa! As we entered the villa I felt like a safari goddess immediately! The rooms have high teak beamed ceilings and cool terracotta floor tiles with many doors and windows opened fully to allow the cool sea breeze to swirl around keeping the room cool. The décor is tasteful and luxurious. We made use of the fully equipped kitchen allowing us to cook in house. Tea, coffee, sugar and milk provided as well as ice cold water each day. Everything is thought of and provided; shopping bags so you don’t have to accept one time use plastic bags on the island and refillable water bottles to take with you which you can refill and any Trash Hero water station dotted around the island. Let’s talk about the bedrooms! I slept with all windows and balcony doors wide open listening to the waves lapping the ocean as it lulled me to sleep! Not once did I see, hear or get bitten by any mosquitos so sleeping more or less in the open didn’t worry me at all. Even though the room had air conditioning, it wasn’t used at all whilst we were there as the cool sea breeze was enough. All rooms have ensuite bathrooms and my room boasted an outdoor private shower which my son enjoyed so much he took more than one shower a day – a novelty for him I must say! The bed! Wow! Sleeping in the bed is like sleeping on top of a huge marshmallow. I honestly can say it is the most comfortable bed I have slept in. I suffer with aching hips when sleeping but not in this bed! If the beach wasn’t calling me then I could have stayed in that bed all day! The resort offers free Kayaking for up to 3 hours, free bicycle for up to 3 hours for you to explore the island with a cheap rental rate after The resort felt super safe with amazing friendly, helpful, smiling staff at every turn! I would thoroughly recommend this place. What I loved most is that they are leading the way of being eco warriors and having no one use plastic and cutting down aircon use by having the villas designed to embrace the habitat keeping the carbon footprint down. Even the toilet paper is biodegradable!

Great job Koh Jum Beach Villas. Keep up...

Super Impressive! I've lived in Krabi for 12 years and hadn't been over to Koh Jum Island, to be honest because I thought the level of accommodation wasn't going to be very high. I have a friend whose brother owns some bungalows on the beach for decades and I thought that's what there was to choose from - bungalows on the beach like Samui's Tong Takien Beach or something lower-end like that.

I was really blown away to find Koh Jum Beach Villas - a world class resort hideaway on the beach facing west. Sunsets were picture-perfect. There were no waves (January) and the wind was pleasantly mild and cool. Nights were the perfect temperature where I opened up the many sliding doors in our massive villa to the outdoors. I can't remember when I last slept with an unlocked door, let alone the entire villa wide open like that. It imparted a sense of freedom! Highly recommended. Oh, and there is 24-hour security walking the grounds at night, but it's very safe anyway.

The grounds are vast - there are over a dozen large villas available, including an astounding 4 bedroom villa like I had. The living area was separate from the main bedroom, and the pool was just off the main bedroom with a large patio and thatched roof massage hut.

The entire area is covered in flowering trees and there are birds of all kids here during the day. Everything is maintained to the highest standards, and staff go way overboard to help everyone have the best experience possible.

I had four meals at KJBV, and all of them were to a high standard. The coffee, blended fruit shakes, and the India Pale Ale Chao-Siam IPA beer were all incredible.

I was told the units were all full during my time there, and I didn't see more than 3-4 families. Everyone does their own thing, and the large size of the space at KJBV means there are never too many people about.

Visit their website to see some brilliant photos of the place. If you're coming to Krabi, you must stop in Koh Jum to see these amazing beach villas for at least a night or two. It is the ultimate beachfront...

We had the most wonderful stay at Koh Jum Beach Villas! 🌴 My family of 4 stayed at Koh Jum Beach Villa recently, as we had friends from Europe visiting Thailand for their family summer holidays. From the moment we arrived, the staff were incredibly warm, welcoming and helpful. They went above and beyond, even arranging a birthday cake for my daughter, which made our holiday extra special. The island itself is pure bliss – super chill, peaceful, and uncrowded. We visited during the off-season and were blessed with mostly sunny days, with only a couple of rainy evenings. It made for the perfect mix of sunshine and cozy moments. Our 2-bedroom villa (Baan Thammachaat) was beautiful, well-maintained, and thoughtfully designed. The absence of televisions was such a gift and the perfect excuse to truly disconnect from work and the outside world. We spent our days soaking in the serene atmosphere, enjoying nature, and simply relaxing. We managed to also book ourselves a half-day fishing trip and a tuktuk ride to the other end of the island (into Koh Pu) as part of our itinerary. As it was a reunion with our friends, we also arranged an in-villa bbq dinner which was immaculately planned by the restaurant staff. If you’re looking for a place to unwind, recharge, and escape the hustle, I can’t recommend Koh Jum Beach Villas enough. We’ll definitely be back! Thank you to all the staff that looked after us during our recent stay!

The villas here were really nice, quietly nestled against the Andaman Sea off the Krabi west side. Staying here helps you forget your worries and refocus on what is important. Each villa is spaced a stone's throw away from each other. Those that face the beach have no pool while those villas offset from the beach have a small private pool. Staff are friendly, helpful and take care of everything from turn down service to turn up service. There's a main pool between the bar and the restaurant, each of those with a great and capable staff. You'll enjoy the food and opportunity to meet other guests from all over the world. The reception team also helps set you up with various activities. We opted for a snorkel tour of a couple of island including Phi Phi, Monkey Island and Bamboo Island. Great snorkel views of a bunch of different sea life. We even saw a shark! These great folks even help with transfer service to and from the airport, so no worries there. Do remember that everything costs, and so expect a small service charge added to most everything here. (No surprises) If we can, we'll come back to Ko Jum Beach Villas. The GM, Max, was a true pleasure to talk with and makes himself accessible in case there are any issues. I found that highly respectable. Great job Ko Jum Beach Villas. If we're lucky, we'll see you again!
