The service here is outstanding. The staff always goes the extra mile to make your stay more comfortable. Sometimes, it felt like they were reading my mind - organizing things that I would eventually request and anticipating… for example, I needed to coordinate a boat to Ko Mak and contact my next accommodation to arrange transfer from the pier. Well, before I could even ask the front desk, a manager came to me to ask where I was staying at my next destination, how I would like to travel there (by ferry or direct speedboat), etc… they called the villa and arranged everything. I brought the key to the front desk and my bags were loaded from the room to the boat in the blink of an eye.

I never receive this kind of service in Western hospitality so at first I couldn’t help but feel uneasy with this level of pampering.. but after some consideration- it’s how I treat my guests when I have friends stay with me. It’s a pleasant experience to feel genuinely welcomed.

Food was fantastic. There were plenty of vegetarian options. Drinks were a bit expensive in comparison, but imaginative and really well-made. Free snorkel gear, kayaks, bread & jam station, coffee & tea, even an ice cream bar —- all nice touches.

After renting a scooter with the front desk, we travelled around the island. Besides the waterfall, we really felt we had everything we wanted in the landscape of the island right where we were staying.. it’s such a beautiful location and it seems they were careful to preserve the land.

Anyway, just book this place. It’s the bomb.

PS: if you’re a light sleeper, bring earbuds. Cicadas and birds go hard in the paint, all...

We had an amazing stay at Captain Hook! This was really a bucket list destination for us! We stayed in the tropical style small pool villa. The outdoor area is the villa is great, with comfy seating, a beautiful view, and a nice little pool to cool off in. The rooms are a bit on the older side and a bit rustic, but overall clean and nice. The outdoor bathroom was spacious and the shower ran very hot with good pressure. There are some ants in the bathroom and a few in the room which is to be expected for such a remote location. The rest of the property is absolutely beautiful, you could easily spend a couple of weeks there. There are many activities available for free, such as the fire show, kayaking, paddleboarding, snorkeling, and more. The swimming pool was great and there are nice loungers to relax on. We loved how many nice spots there were to sit and enjoy the views at the resort. The food was good in the restaurant, and the staff are incredibly attentive. It was so easy to charge our food to the room and settle the bill at the end of our stay. We did some great snorkelling right off of the dock of the hotel, we saw pufferfish and giant clams. We so appreciated the dedicated staff, they were very helpful and friendly. Renting a scooter was super easy, a 3 minute boat ride to a neighbouring hotel to rent the bike. The beach next to the hotel is so pretty and very empty. We also loved kayaking to Secret Beach around the corner. We found the resort to be tranquil and so beautiful, a great place to relax. There is free water, juice, and ice cream daily. We would definitely recommend...

I recently stayed at Captain Hook Resort and had a fantastic experience. The resort is located in a beautiful setting right on the beach, with stunning views of the ocean from many of the rooms.

The staff at the resort were incredibly friendly and helpful, making me feel welcome from the moment I arrived. They were always available to answer any questions I had and offer recommendations on things to do in the area.

The accommodations themselves were top-notch. My room was spacious, clean, and well-appointed with everything I needed for a comfortable stay. The bed was incredibly comfortable and I slept like a baby each night.

One of the highlights of my stay was the food at the resort. The on-site restaurant served up delicious, fresh seafood dishes that were out of this world. I also enjoyed the daily breakfast buffet, which had a great variety of options to choose from.

In terms of activities, there was plenty to keep me entertained during my stay. The resort has a beautiful swimming pool, as well as a gym and spa. I also took advantage of the resort's water sports offerings, including kayaking and stand-up paddleboarding.

Overall, I would highly recommend Captain Hook Resort to anyone looking for a luxurious and relaxing vacation. The combination of stunning location, top-notch accommodations, and friendly staff make it an unbeatable choice for your...

I recently stayed at Caption Hook Resort in Koh Kood and had an incredible experience. From the moment I arrived, I was impressed with the exceptional service provided by the resort's staff. They were attentive, friendly, and went above and beyond to make my stay comfortable and enjoyable. The food at Caption Hook Resort was outstanding. The resort's restaurant offered a diverse menu with a wide range of delicious Thai and international cuisine. I was particularly impressed with the freshness of the ingredients and the exquisite flavors of the dishes. The breakfast buffet was also a highlight, with a variety of options to suit different tastes. The resort's activities were plentiful and engaging. I enjoyed snorkeling in the crystal-clear waters, exploring the nearby islands on a kayak. The location of Caption Hook Resort was perfect for a peaceful and serene vacation. Nestled in a secluded area of Koh Kood. Overall, I highly recommend Caption Hook Resort for a memorable vacation. The resort's exceptional service, delicious food, engaging activities, comfortable accommodations, and stunning location make it an ideal choice for a getaway. I can't wait to return!"

We were a party of 7 and went for 2 nights in a pool villa, with 3 separate rooms. 2 bedrooms and 1 living room. I guess it is quite difficult to keep nature at bay, therefore I did not lower the score a lot, even though we had an ant trail in out bathroom behind the mirror and our neighbors had quite a sandfly problem with several painful stings to remember. Otherwise the rooms were Ok, with little furniture and fully functional bathrooms. The pool is very small though. The staff was very friendly, helpful and polite at all occasions. Our package included breakfast (2), lunch (2) and dinner (2) for each person. Food in general was quite Ok, selection a bit restrictive (mostly seafood, 2nd day no bacon for breakfast), but then again the resort is small and overall I would call it sensible. We had some fun with the free kayaks and the day trips (waterfall, snorkeling) and a fire show, respetive firefly trip at night.
