We decided to stay at Hidden Beach based on the great comments about Jake and his team and we were not disappointed! Jake is a force of nature (think Seth Rogen having lived on a secluded island for a few years) he’s a super funny guy who knows everyone on the island and clearly has a lot of love for Koh Mak. If you’re interested in exceptionally entertaining life stories and a lot of knowledge about Koh Mak this is your place to be. When I mentioned that I’m interested in cooking he called the local cooking expert for me and arranged a session for me.

The location is also outstanding and has a lot of hammocks to chill in. The rooms are quite basic and very clean. You’ll have the ocean right in front of your nose and waking up with that 🏝️views is just incredible. The whole team around Jake is lovely and VERY 420 friendly. The whole vibe here is coming as a foreigner and leaving as a friend.

If you’re into super organized hotels and service this might not be the place for you (for us it’s totally fine to make our own coffee in the morning for example). If you want to understand how living on an Island can feel like you’ll probably enjoy the different characters passing through Hidden...

We had an incredible stay at this resort in Koh Mak! The rooms were absolutely amazing—modern, spotless, and much nicer than most places we’ve stayed in Thailand. The large room and spacious bathroom, along with a fridge, made it extra comfortable. The location is perfect—peaceful and quiet, yet everything on the island is easy to reach. The beach here is honestly one of the best I’ve ever seen. Crystal-clear water, soft sand, and plenty of coconut trees make it feel like a private paradise. The high tide in the morning was perfect for swimming, and with plenty of hammocks and chairs to relax in, it was the ultimate spot to unwind. Best of all, we practically had the whole beach to ourselves! They also rent out excellent scooters. If you’re looking for a beautiful, peaceful getaway with stunning views, top-quality accommodation, and great transport options, this is the place to be. Can’t...

We were upgraded to Hidden Beach from our original booking at Jo's Hostel, which was a really nice surprise! One of the owners, Jake, met us at the ferry as we arrived on Koh Mak and took us to the resort by taxi, which was really helpful. Jake is a top bloke who is friendly and also a great bartender! The bungalows are spacious which great facilities and a lovely view out over the bay. The beach bar is perfectly placed to catch sunrise and sunset. Scooter hire is 250 baht per day which we can recommend you do as it makes getting around the island much easier. There was no WiFi yet in the bungalow as they are just getting the place going again after covid but otherwise this place is an absolute gem and we can heartily recommend you stay here when you...

Wir also hin.

So this is the best place we stayed at in our 3 weeks holiday. Jake is there to greet you one amazing guy if you ask us. He will help you with whatever it is you need and not to forget makes some amazing coctails while you are enjoying the nice view on the beach. I would definitly recommend any of my friends to go here. We spent 3 nights here and the rooms are really comfortable aswell. At night we were just sitting at the bar talking away while time flies by. All in all we had the perfect experience you could imagine having.
