Chaloklum Residences by Kupu Kupu Phangan — Hotel in Ko Pha Ngan

I cannot stress this enough: do not stay at Chaloklum Residences (connected to Kupu Kupu Phangan).||On the second night of my stay I was sexually assaulted in my bed by a naked intruder who somehow bypassed the villa’s only lock. About 15,000 baht (~$500 USD) and other belongings were stolen.||Key failures:||1. No secondary locks, deadbolts, or security chains on doors.||2. No CCTV anywhere on the property.||3. A security guard was allegedly on duty but did nothing, never appeared until the police arrived hours later.||4. Police could not explain how the intruder accessed the villa without forced entry. I strongly suspect someone with access to a key.||The hotel’s response was appalling. After being escorted away by police in the middle of the night, management hesitated to offer even a refund. We were eventually promised a free final night for our safety, only to be charged for that room (IN ADDITION TO OUR ORIGINAL THREE-NIGHT STAY) and massages a staff member had assured us were complimentary. The hotel even threatened to call the police on us when we protested.||Despite providing me written confirmation of a full refund the hotel never processed it.||This was one of the most traumatic experiences of my life and the hotel not only failed to protect its guests but actively exploited the situation financially afterward.||If you value your safety, avoid this property at all costs. The lack of basic security measures and the management’s unethical conduct make it a dangerous and deeply untrustworthy...

It is a residence but all the services of a hotel, in villa breakfast, in villa lunch, personal assistant, personal driver ! So good!
