first of all, some of the reviews you can read here is done for the resort nearby, which is not open anymore. view bungalows are made from concret and they are not bamboo bungalows. ||you are independent and experienced traveller ??? you are NOT looking for party or disco ?! you know how to relax ?! looking for a romantic place just on top of the sea ?!||just relax at your balcony or at the sandy beach, or take care about your partner, or go for a very good schnorcheling just in front of your door with a lot of corals and fishes around. ( schnorchel gear for rent )||fanrooms are very nice, no AC, for thai standards clean, cold water only, elektricity only between 7PM to 7 AM, NO INTERNET, internet you can catch only from nearby rantee cliff resort, but very, very bad connection from your bungalow, you have go to the beach to connect, open air bathroom, great view from your balcony and and and..... ||if you like, the owner provide free instant coffee, or hot water and a bowl for your instant soup. there are just 5 bungalows, three single ( nr. 1,2,3 ) and one double with a door between ( nr. 4/5 ).||there are two restaurants at rantee beach, one is rantee cliff ( we didn't like ) and than aoody a huge restaurant where everyday a lot of speedboats carrying a lot of tourist from phuket and other places to feed them. its more like a selfserv buffet than a restaurant - who did give them the permission to build up such a restaurant at rantee beach ???? but as everybody know - money makes a lot of things happened.||there is also a minimarket at the beach, but at least twice the price like on the mainland. instant soup 10 to 30 baht, cookies 10 baht and up, large water 40 baht, small can of beer 60 baht and up, can of coke 40 baht, so take some stuff from the mainland if you like.||but you got one chance - there is a good restaurant at the nearby tohko beach, just a 5 minute walk on a small path starting near your bungalow, need lamp or mobile phone in the evening, because no lights on this path.||||how to go there ? rantee view has no own longboat servic. in the middle of the pier on the right side there is a place where the resort boats are stopping and picking up guests. if you are lucky the boat from tohko beach will come to the pier ( normally only at around 11.30 AM or 5.30 PM ). from tohko resort you can go by your own to rantee view ( 400m, small path ! ). Maybe you catch the boat from rantee cliff resort, so rantee view is the resort next to them. they charging you normally just 200 baht / person one way, otherwise you have to go by taxiboat ( all day round ) and they take at least 400 baht/person !!! in the moment you cann't make reservation through internet, only first come first serve. Maybe you could send an e-mail to leerantee9@gmail.com or call or text the owner Lee at 082 274 2783 . For Rantee Beach you can rent a Bugalow at Rantee View for a very reasonable price, and like everywhere, if you stay longer you can ask Lee for a lower roomrate.||||Room Tip: single...
Read moreWas sold this place from an agent when I asked for somewhere quiet to escape the clubs and noise of Ko phi phi village. ||The beach was perfect and tranquil but this choice of accommodation was very poor value indeed. After the two nights I initially booked, I moved next door to a much warmer reception and pleasant bamboo huts with unbelievable views..||||The cabin I stayed in at Sunrise was dated and stuffy. It leaked in the rain and the bathroom was truly a grim sight. My bed was right beneath the leak and I had to improvise with a tupperware container balanced on the bed. I told staff but received no apology. They were mostly focused on how much money you spend in their restaurant. I didn't drink any alcohol while there so I wasn't a very important customer. I recommend the sweet little restaurant with tables right on the beach but the rooms are easily the worst I've seen in a resort anywhere. ||There was a stench coming from the outside bathrooms and music played loud into the night in the bar just a few meters from my cabin. I don't like to give negative reviews but I feel obligated to warn you in this case.||I was sick while I was here and had a hard time communicating with the staff - their English is very limited and I was made fun of when I was feeling like death. I was given some aspirin and managed to finally get on a boat to the pharmacy but only after getting upset first. I was very relieved to find a bungalow available next door.||Unfortunately the focus just seemed to be on how much money they could make rather than guests comfort. ||||My advice is to stay next door.. There are two other options on Rantee Beach of a higher standard but...
Read moreIt was by far the worst hotel I’ve stayed in Thailand…
We asked to book transportation from the pier to the hotel, we agreed but they never showed up. We waited more than 1h30 stuck in the pier and ended up paying three times the price to arrive at a resort near by and then walk with the heavy luggages through the rocks. When we arrived they didn’t apologize or try to make a gesture. Worst of all, we had everything payed through booking and when we said we were getting annoyed by not receiving any news from the transportation after 1h30 of waiting under the rain they simply replied “you can cancel”. No hot water No wifi and we barely had phone signal The food at the restaurant took long to arrive They didn’t offer cleaning services for the room The only way to get there is with boats, otherwise you have a 1.30 hike to get to the main village Zero effort for communication No benches or chairs to lay at the beach They barely speak English so it was hard to receive any advice for the activities and touristic areas
I give 1 star and not 0 it’s because the hotel has a beautiful sea-view and when we did laundry they folded our clothes. However, I think many places in Phi Phi have stunning views for the same price, it was definitely not worth the price and the bad moments...
