สันติสุข รีสอร์ท / Suntisook Resort — Hotel in Ko Yao Noi

This is the second time we stayed at Suntisook and our fourth time on the island. The first two trips we stayed at Hillhouse which is amazing but, after staying at Suntisook I’ve got to say that I think Suntisook is marginally better. The big wins for Suntisook: very comfy bed and pillows (HH has rubber covered mattresses which is one of their big downfalls. There’s no underlay so it’s sheet on rubber unless you sacrifice your blanket or towels to put under there.) air con great deck with padded seating to watch island life go by. (The view from HH is sensational but you miss seeing all the local activity. Things really pick up between 5-6:30 when there is nothing better than sitting on the deck with a cold beer and watching the locals zip past on scooters or play a match of soccer or volleyball across the road) uninterrupted views of the islands great breakfast (always eggs, fruit, yogurt, cereal, toast, juice, brewed coffee and something rotating ie pancakes, fried chicken, etc) within walking distance of a great little eatery (Stella - which has THE BEST views) lovely bathroom and hot shower (HH’s bathroom is fine, but not as nice and modern). The only very minor downfall is that you do lack privacy unless you go inside and close all your curtains but for me the trade off is worth it. Please note that we’ve only stayed in the front cabins which I think are the Seaview ones. Pretty much all of their cabins have a sea view but I love these two as they are right up front. We will...

My friend and I visited Koh Yao Noi without booking any accommodation in advance. By chance, we drove past this homestay and decided to stay here, hoping to support a local business. It turned out to be one of the best decisions we made on our trip. First of all, the price was incredibly affordable compared to what we received. The room was spotless, well maintained, and could easily be compared to a 4–5 star hotel. What impressed us the most was the warm hospitality of the owner, who went out of their way to assist us, recommend places to visit, and treat us just like family. The breakfast was excellent, and the overall atmosphere was cozy and welcoming. One highlight not to be missed is the beautiful sunrise in the morning. During low tide, you can even walk across to the small island right in front of the homestay, which was a truly special experience. Such an amazing stay in such an amazing island. The people were so so sweet to us. They also served complimentary breakfast which we realised only after reaching the location, so it was a happy surprise for us ! They cooked a different menu every single day and the spread was healthy and amazing . Right from fruit pancakes, to local Thai steamed leaf wrapped rice , coconut sweet , real fruit juices and real whole fruit....they just made us feel so welcome ! It is sad we had to leave early , but we thank them for their pleasant attitude. The stay is truly beachfront as in you have an amazing view of the beach right from your room and just walk into the beach as soon as you wake up ! The entire host family is extremely caring and genuinely supportive! If we have another chance to visit Thailand, we will definitely come again 🙏.
