I would go anywhere else than this place. It‘s maximum overcharged and they‘re trying to be something they are not. I‘d recommend staying at next door‘s „Sunset Beach“-resort which provides you with so much more for the same prices.
The really unfriendly staff does not really make you feel welcome at all, as you are constantly feeling as if you were annoying them. Just to enlist the most important happenings:
the hotel manager offered to give back our scooter key as we had to rent if from a separate company. As they had to get us back our deposit of 1000 THB, she offered to take it for us and pass it on to us. When we were checking out one day after, I had to remind her of the money as she did not offer to pay it herself.
when we were checked out, our grab driver cancelled the ride because we had too large bags for her car. So we asked for a taxi service in the hotel which was 550 THB to Ao Nang Beach (Grab charged 250 THB!). When asking for the price, she told us that it would be so expensive because there would not be any other transport provider and the hotel was situated so remote. They literally tried to charge us extra for the hotel‘s bad location.
the breakfast which has been praised by so many would have even been bad under hostel conditions. We did not understand the good ratings at all.
From our point of view, we cannot advise to visit this place. Just book another hotel closeby. Tupkaek Beach‘s center parts do even offer you the better, less stony sea access. Unfortunately, the really unwelcoming service was not compensated by the beach‘s excellent sunset views (which is not exclusive to...

Yays: The view of the ocean when the tide is in (11am-4pm) is very relaxing Breakfast is yummy and filling with a mixture of Asian and Western Staff are friendly and hospitable, but there is sometimes a language barrier Rooms are clean and well designed. Upper bungalows have an open shower type Complimentary Netflix in the room! A real plus for millennials. Complimentary tea, coffee, kettle and water each day. First day we had free fruit too, but just the first day. Complimentary use of beach towels and beach bag which was nice Complimentary use of the safe and fairly new hairdryers
Mehs 300m walk on the beach for your breakfast. Breakfast is from 6:30am - 10am. You'd have to walk quite a bit. We had to pay our 3000baht deposit in cash and they wouldn't allow us to pay with card. There's no Forex anywhere nearby so be prepared to bring enough cash 450baht per hour for a massage. It's 300baht on Phi Phi Don so plan accordingly There's nothing much to do besides kayak and SUP when the tide is in. You'd have to arrange for a taxi to go to the night markets and it's quite expensive. Airport shuttle (courtesy of Tubkaak boutique resort down the road) costs 1000baht per way, but it's a very fancy and comfortable shuttle.
We booked a tour via the booth at Tubkaek Seafood restaurant. It's off season so our speedboat tour to Phi Phi islands was about 1200baht per person...
Read moreKrabi Home Resort has a totally relaxed vibe. We stayed in a sea front room, it’s really clean, simply and tastefully decorated with a large comfy bed. ||The bar and restaurant are right on the beach. The breakfast which is included is fine, pastries, fruit, bread, cereal, juices, coffee and then you can have eggs, waffles or pancakes cooked to your liking. ||We also ate most of our other meals here, the Thai food especially was really enjoyable. ||The beach is lovely, especially at high tide!||For one of our days we booked through the resort a private long-tail boat trip to Hong island and the surrounding islands, it was amazing and we would definitely recommend doing this. I’m sure you could find cheaper but doing it through the hotel they provide a cooler with water and juices so it was an easy accessible option for us. ||We would also say that the staff are brilliant, they all work so hard, they are pushed at times so sometimes you have to wait a little for service but it’s totally understandable.||For value for money you can’t ask for any more really, which is why I’ve scored it 5 but don’t come expecting 5* facilities. ||Lastly the location is perfect though very quiet which is what we wanted, so just make sure this is what you’re wanting if you are thinking about staying here. ||If you’re looking for something slightly rustic, away from a modern large luxury resort we would...
