Floral Shire Resort (Suvarnabhumi Airport) — Hotel in Lat Krabang Subdistrict

This hostel features small, apartment-like rooms that each contain all of the necessary essentials (bed(s), bathroom, AC). It's as close to the airport as you can get for a cheap overnight stay (we paid somewhere 12-15€/a night (for two people, so 6-7,50€ per person)) and there are multiple convenience stores nearby. It also offers a shuttle van service of 150 baht per room for the 5-15 minutes ride to the airport (depending on the traffic situation). We were allowed to order food from the phone of a staff member when the delivery site didn't accept our phone numbers which was extremely kind of them :)

That said, the rooms are quite loud due to the proximity to the airport (loads of planes flying over hostel- bring earplugs!!). In addition, the walls are a bit moldy in the bathroom and there are geckos in the halls to the rooms at night (which isn't really a negative for me but I thought I might mention it). The street the hostel is in is habited by many, many stray dogs, not all of them friendly (I'm extremely afraid of dogs+ getting rabies, so that's a negative for me).

All in all a good place to stay for cheap if you have a flight...

Update: booked here again for my return and different room and floor but just as decent! Convenient place to stay ten min drive from the airport. Potentially a little bit dated but absolutely does the job. Superior room was large and good comfy bed. Hot shower. Two small balconies one facing the sun in the day/afternoon which was nice when you’re not feeling adventurous. fridge, water and extra loo roll dropped for my second day. Coffee and tea in room. I was allowed to check in extra early and after a long night journey this was thoroughly appreciated. Nice staff and housekeeping. Vending machine on ground floor which is handy if you’re caught in a pinch. A few local places to eat nearby and 7-11/family mart/atms. It’s at the end of a 5 minute road which has now been redone/completed (someone mentioned previously it being muddy etc but it is complete now). They offer a shuttle bus to airport for 150baht which is cheaper than grab! Obviously it’s loud due to being next to the airport but it doesn’t bother me personally, I think it calms down around midnight too (I stopped noticing after then). Perfect for early...

Where do I even start with this place! So I arrived at floral shire with the intention of having a good nights rest before flying out to my next destination. But never in my 4 years of traveling have I been so disrespected! To start the rooms look nothing like in the photos and when I went to reception to ask why this was, I was simply told if I don’t like it I should ‘F**k’ off somewhere else but I would not get a refund so I decided to suck it up and stay in a room where the AC didn’t really work. So I came back after some food to this hot room to find the sheets were disgusting with what I believe to be bed bugs so I went back to reception to ask about this... but once again I was met with shouting in my face saying if I don’t like I should leave now before she forces me out, and then shouting at me in Thai ( I understand a little Thai ) from what I understood it was about my mother and how I’m a stupid tourist.. anyway what I’m trying to say is do not stay here.
