I absolutely loved the room which was decorated beautifully and had "treats" I'd not seen in a while on my trip - hairdryer, hot water basin, kettle - oooh, the luxury! The view over the river and fields was beautiful (especially from the hot tub!), and I would recommend a river view room. I'm not really one for sitting, doing nothing, but I could have happily done that for a couple of days here.||I think "resort" is mis-leading. It almost put me off, but the place is thankfully a lot more low-key than that. However, the dining area needs improvement. There's nothing basically wrong with it, but you're stuck there unless you drive back to Pai and a blaring TV does not give the cosy ambience that I had in the villa. The menu was limited and it was very cold at breakfast the next morning as it's open to the elements on all sides.||Don't get me wrong though, I would stay there again in a heartbeat. I wish I could pick it up and move it to the outskirts of Bangkok where I could use it as a regular...
Read moreExcellent place to relax in quiet modern Earthy bungalows on hill near the Pai River. Wonderful views of the lush farm valley across the River, very quiet, very relaxing. Each room has a large tub on the deck with a privacy curtain that is fed by steaming hot springs water. Relaxing in this tub with the magnificent view in hot springs water while having an evening drink is about as close to heaven as you can get. You won't hear any traffic, and just the noises of nature. Inside the room, the shower is also fed by the hot springs, and you have to be careful to not make it too hot. Excellent room, super clean, very comfortable. A great get-away place, and still easy to get into town. Morning breakfast was excellent. While I just had a room made for two, there are cottages with two bedrooms that can accommodate a family. Every room and cottage has a great view of the valley and...
Read moreThis place was perfect, here's why. My friend and I were staying in Chiang Mai and wanted to come to Pai for the weekend. The folks at Pripta worked with us and got us a private car from our door in Chiang Mai to the Pripta resort (6000 baht for there and back).
We also didn't realize Pai isn't walkable to every site you want to see, so they got us a ride that evening to see the Canyon AND a ride to the night market from 6-9.
The rooms have individual hot tubs which were incredible, and the next day it was easy to walk to the Hot Springs Park (just 1 km away and only 300 baht entry).
THEN Nung (who was very patient with us) even helped us to get a ride to see the White Buddha before we headed back to Chiang Mai!
This resort is peaceful, beautiful and run by very patient and helpful people. I can't...
