There are 2 other hotels by the first name Piyaporn which are Piyaporn Place Hotel and Piyaporn Hill Paradise Hotel. Piyaporn Pavilion Hotel is hidden in a narrow alley by the main road. This is a very new and large hotel of between 6-7 storeys. Beside the hotel is a shopping mall. From the main road, it's about 500 meters walking to the immigration complex to the Myanmar border city, Tachilek. The staffs are very polite with little basic English spoken. ||The superior room was big and has super king size bed. Very comfortable. Bathroom although without a bathtub is very clean. Free Wifi password is given during check in and the reception was rather good.||There are many stalls along the main road leading to the immigration complex selling different stuffs such as fruits, dried pickled fruits, immitation products, gem stones, textiles and many more. Really cheap price at Mae Sai compared to Chiang Mai. Plenty of street food vendors along both direction of the main road after 6pm. So do not have to worry about food and it is reasonably priced. No problem about food hygiene as well. Do not encounter any food poisoning or stomach ache after meals.||I will definitely stay in this hotel again if I visited Mae Sai again. Room rate was very cheap from Agoda website but...
Read moreLike others said, the hotel is next to a small shopping mall, local shops, a small night market, and the border crossing to Myanmar.||The rooms are spacious and the mattresses are firm but not rock hard. This hotel is off the main street, so there's not much traffic noise. There are 2 elevators. The included breakfast has variety and the breakfast area is big with more than enough tables and chairs.||The hallways are a bit dim during the day when the lights are off. The rooms are quite spartan but clean. The bathroom has a shower curtain but the floor gets wet the shower curtain drops to about 6 inches off the floor. Water didn't drain fast enough when I showered, so I was standing in a small pool of water at the end of my shower.||Sound-proofing was average as noise from the hallway gets into the room.||Staff are polite with only a few being able to communicate in English. Customer service can be improved.||I found this hotel adequate for its price and will stay...
Read moreThis is probably the closest hotel to the Myanmar border, you can actually see the border crossing from your room! This is the best thing about this place and where it all stops. We booked 2 nights and after checking in (no one speaks any English) we went up to the room only to discover some underwear and an empty bottle of wine still in the room. The staff were equally surprised to see this. We were out most of the time and on the 2nd day they did not even clean the room. When we asked, the reply was: “we did not want to enter the room since you were out”. It was late and all cleaning staff already left so we just asked for clean towels. This really makes no sense at all. I’ve stayed in some really cheap places in my life but the room was cleaned daily, I think they just forgot. It’s not worth fighting about these things since no one speaks any English anyway. I paid my bill and left , will...
