We weren't allowed to check in, despite having vacant rooms, cos check-in was at 2pm and we were told that we had to pay 400b for an extra 'bed' cos we had 2 kids, age 5 and 7, and max occupancy was 3! We never had to pay for an extra bed in Thailand, Malaysia and Vietnam cos the girls are so young! ||||The hotel was very inaccessible, very far from the main road, and there's no public transport, not even cab nearby. The manager, quoted us over the phone, 2500b for a car and driver for the whole day when we asked about shuttle service to the main road. We decided to walk and we managed to hitch hike and got to the main road thanks to 2 kind souls. ||||When we finally checked in at 5.30pm, we realised that the extra 'bed' was a thin mattress on the floor! The manager spoke to me over the phone that it's the regulation and he hanged up on me after that! Some kind of service! ||||Not only that, we found lots of ants in our room, and 1 of the mosquito screen doors came loose when we tried to close it and the staff just took that door and put it outside. Not even bother to change our room!||||We saw that the 'restaurant' was untidy and dirty with the rubbish area nearby. There were only toast, coffee, Milo and boiled rice for breakfast. We only had toast and hot drinks as the place looked unhygienic and we left at 8am. ||||Terrible experience and we would think 2x before booking such a...
Read moreThe hotels is a very pleasant place where we spent 2 nights for visiting Khao Yai national park. The rooms are small but very clean and we felt very comfortable there. We took a studio with a balcony on the roof and loved to sit there in the night watching the stars. Studio is very basic but I loved it a lot, even after staying in a quite luxury 5 stars hotel in Bangkok one night before. And even my parents, very versed in hotels, loved the luxe room that I booked for them ( the "luxe" was only 200 bath more expensive :) ) The soulful atmosphere of small self run family hotel makes this hotel so charming.||Surroundings are very peacefully and beautiful. Absolutely satisfied with this...
Read moreYou will need own transport to reach this hotel. There is no reception to 'receive' you during check in (allowed at 2 PM). It was barely maintained by 3 Thai women who speak no English. There is no activity that you can do in the hotel. It look like nobody is taking care of it. The room was just basic and toilet is too dim and the shower has low water pressure.. Anyway we like the quite surrounding and and breakfast where the boiled rice was nice. The restaurant only serves breakfast, so for lunch and dinner you have to venture outside where the nearest shops/restaurants are...
