Mövenpick Resort Khao Yai encapsulates the romantic charms of a Tuscan-themed countryside 5-star resort at the fringes of Khao Yai National Park.

Location – Located less than 3 hours away from Bangkok, it is an ideal getaway for families, friends, and couples looking to escape from the hustle and bustle of city life and unwind. Thematically, the structures offer a castle-like experience which is sure to enchant the most discerning travelers. Pictures do not do justice to this place as the cool night breeze and scent of wet grass are not reflected in mere static photos. The flaura and fauna of the rich biodiversity of Khao Yai National Park is best experienced for those residing here.

Covid-19 Test – Before arriving in the resort premises, we had to do a quick and painless complimentary Covid-test provided. The test was done in the car itself with the windows rolled down. There professional nurses are accommodating and this touch really provided a sense of safety while moving about in the resort. Knowing that everyone had been tested and were Covid-free allowed us to enjoy the resort more freely.

Service - Attentive to every detail. From the check-in we noticed that the hotel has implemented the 'new normal' standards and provide minimal touch points at check-in and social distancing. Smooth, efficient and friendly from the porters, bellboys and reception staff. It's heartwarming to see smiling staff who are eager to assist you in anyway. Upon check-in, we were escorted to our room by a buggy. We couldn't not fault a single staff, from the bell boy to the waitresses at the restaurants to the management.

Accommodations – Unique Renaissance and Baroque-style rooms and decor adds to the Tuscan-feel. We stayed in their Executive Deluxe with picturesque views of the Khao Yai valleys from a large balcony. Large king-sized bed with the perfect level of softness that ensured a sound and restful sleep. The room fixtures and furnishings are excellent and you can see their attention to detail. Their large flat-screen smart TV made it easy for us to connect our smart devices to enjoy some Netflix. You probably won’t be doing much of streaming as the Nature show is on 24/7 as you step on to the balcony (Tip: bring your mosquito repellent). Ensuite bathrooms has a separate shower and bathtub. Water pressure and heat were great which is very important for anyone staying at an Accor standard property to say the least.

Wifi - Fast, stable and reliable throughout the resort make this a viable destination to work away from the cities hustle and bustle. Perhaps a good option for a staycation which this quick escape always on the cards.

Breakfast in room - Enjoyed breakfast served to the room. We had a mix of both American and Continental options available. Crispy bacon, scrambled eggs, sausages, etc. Special mention: if you request for crispy bacon, they make them perfectly thin and crispy. We looked forward to breakfast in the mornings in the balcony while overlooking the enchanting mountainous landscape.

Weather – the weather was good. During the day we enjoyed the sun with short afternoon shower which only adds to the luscious surroundings. At night things got a bit cooler which is always great. In the winter months, a light jacket and shawls maybe recommended.

Flavors Restaurant - This international restaurant offers all-day dining options with indoor and outdoor seating options available. We enjoyed unobstructed mountain views along-side tasty local and international flavors. They even have an on-site organic garden where they use ingredients from farm to table. Generally, there dishes were pact with flavor and we especially enjoyed their seafood Chinese-style flat noodle dish.

Thank you for a...

This property has well manicured gardens and surroundings and I am impressed at how they keep everything impeccable! Kudos to the team for a great job.

We were spoiled. We got the best room with the most wonderful view of the golf course, the mountains and the villas in the horizon. Clean room with a luxurious decor and faux fireplace, separate shower and single tub giving it the European castle room feel and the most comfortable king bed. So it’s a castle inside and out.

Breakfast is generous with a wide selection of Fruits, salads, bread and pastries, cheese and Asian menu such as rice, soups, congee and noodles. I personally love that the bacon is crispy and cooked how it is supposed to be. They even have a corner dedicated for kids. It’s a great option for vegans, vegetarians too as they also have an organic farm on site and use fresh produce for the meals.

Lunch and dinner at the flavors restaurant is amazing. Eat al fresco so you can enjoy the view and the fresh air. The “my ozone” mint and peach and lychee drinks were amazing. I have my eye on the massaman lamb curry. Thai dishes are good, I asked for not spicy and it’s perfect! The sea bass was one of my favorites too.

We also had experienced a beautiful dinner under the stars with live music and campfire. It’s a “sabai- sabai” concept with food being prepared at a grilling station and being brought to your picnic mats and tents. There’s thai food and French fries, beers, cocktails, burgers… It was a romantic, chill night. Exactly what we wanted.

We didn’t leave the property at all. There are a lot of interesting things to do, apart from golf and walking around the main “castle” and surrounding gardens.

We played pétanque and ate ice cream at the castleton cafe.

We fed the rabbits, deers, lambs and goats at the animal club. They have chickens, pigs and horses too.

We did ATV around the property- my first time driving one myself as I have always been afraid but I quite enjoyed myself!

There is also a beautiful indoor and outdoor pool decorated with chandeliers.

They have bikes for adults and kids if you want to work out and go around the property.

I had no time to check out the spa but it seems regally splendid offering health checks and bionic scans too.

Thanks to Benoit and his wonderful team who personally ensured that we “enjoy the moment” and spoiled us from when we arrived up until we checked out. He is by far one of the most attentive and omnipresent GM I have ever observed in action.

We also had Tim welcome us and sign us up for Accor plus, making sure we get the best deals and get value for money! It was a pleasure feeling your hospitality through your attentiveness and kind words.

Due to this wonderful experience, we left the hotel drawing up plans when to come back.

I cannot express how absolutely overjoyed we are in our stay at this beautiful property. We didn’t just go to spend a day at a beautiful property, we truly found a place to rest,...

Most popular in Pak Chong is not far and close to Bangkok. MOVENPICK RESORT KHAO YAI I went to Khao Yai on Saturday - Sunday. Check-in 26 Check-out 27 AUGUST 2023|Status PLATINUM did not upgrade, reserved 2 DELUXE beds, but understood that there were many guests here, so did not inform about the upgrade, There is no executive lounge. Anyone who is Platinum will have an offer of 1 set of Afternoon Tea in the room.||So I asked to come only at 2:00 p.m.||The hotel has a Mini Zoo activity all of you can take a walk around. ||I booked a HALF BOARD, including 2 meals, breakfast and Italian dinner, at SAPORI CUCINA restaurant. Both FLAVOURS restaurant and SAPORI CUCINA restaurant.||Breakfast is a buffet at the FLAVOURS restaurant from 6:30 a.m. - 10:30 a.m. There are 2 Thai food items, vegetable salad, bread, dim sum, egg station, and a khanom jeen stand.||Caution|There are only few tables. We recommend coming before 8:00 a.m. otherwise the dining room will be very crowded and you will have to wait in line to wait for a table.||- There are many children running around in the dining room. Please be careful when walking, carrying plates or food to the dining table. ||- This is important. I think we eat spicy food to a certain extent. My recent stay at Mövenpick was nothing short of magical. The resort is breathtakingly beautiful, immaculately clean, and nestled in serene surroundings that make it the perfect escape. Though I had an unfortunate fall that left me with wounds on both knees, the way the staff cared for me truly turned my experience into a heartwarming memory. Julie at the front desk was incredibly helpful, not only offering warm support but also suggesting a visit to a nearby vineyard—which turned out to be a highlight of the trip. Rayne, a concierge assistant and Khun Ming were quick to respond with first aid, providing comfort and care in that moment of need. Dining at the resort was another delightful part of the stay. Cartoon and L at the restaurant greeted me each morning with my coffee exactly how I like it—made with lactose-free milk, no need to remind them. Chef Lek took hospitality to the next level, remembering my preferences and personally bringing a refreshing fruit bowl with neatly diced cubes, a simple gesture that meant a lot. Housekeeping was equally impressive—Pakboong ensured the room was always spotless, comfortable, and inviting. Out on the lawn, Mee’s joyful energy and attentiveness made every moment outdoors relaxing and enjoyable. As an animal lover, the farm was the highlight of the stay. Namtarn and her colleague were warm and enthusiastic, making sure every guest—and every furry friend—was well taken care of. Their passion made the experience feel intimate and joyful. Mr. Beck, the general manager, personally ensured the holiday was worthwhile, even checking on my recovery and ensuring my wound was properly treated. His dedication and love for animals made the farm tour truly delightful. Admiring the cute capybaras in close proximity for the first time ever felt amazing. To top it all off, Glass Cafe—nestled right beside the farm—is a charming spot to unwind. Miew welcomed me with great service, making every visit to the café a delight. Mövenpick not only healed my body but warmed my heart. The entire team including the operations manager Mr. Eak went above and beyond to ensure my comfort, happiness, and recovery. Thank you for making my stay so memorable—I can’t wait to return.

We stayed in a 3 bedroom Villa. It wasn't a bad stay but the maintenance of the villa was not up to par. There are times when the wifi and Phone line got cut off suddenly, the pressure of the shower head is very SMALL. it feels like sprinkles. I'm also baffled that a 5 star hotel like Movenpick do not have any staff that can speak proper English. They were friendly but half the time could not understand what we were talking about. For e.g, We asked the Golf Club staff whether they provide left handed golf clubs, they said 'Yes Yes', and ended up there were only the standard right handed golf clubs. I ordered take away speghetti at their main restaurant mentioning that I will be at the pool side. The waitress happily mentioned that she would bring to me at the pool. I thought it was kind of her. I did not suggest it, she did. But ended up, my order did not come after waiting for some time. So I headed back to the restaurant realising that my food was already placed at the counter table without informing me. I tried asking the staff why my food wasn't delivered as promised (once again, I was actually happy to collect my own takeaway food but the waitress suggested she would bring it to me when I ordered it). Bad english / bad communication is one thing, not fulfilling what you promise is another thing. It is ok if your staff don't understand what your guests are saying, just let us know you don't understand. Don't everything also reply 'Yes Yes Yes' It is very misleading and cause very unpleasant experiences to your guests when requests are not fulfilled. We liked the villa but the service is horrendous mainly because of bad communication and it made us annoyed all the time. I understand its thailand, but at least have ONE representative in each facility whom can speak proper English? Especially your hotel receptionist. It is the first impression your guests have when they arrive at your hotel. The service doesn't deserve even 2 stars for a 5 star hotel. If you are charging premium, at least hire proper staff?

We booked 3 bedroom pool villa. The rooms and floors (indoor and outdoor) are very dusty and dirty. The towels smell like smoke. The bedsheet was dusty. One master bedroom was very spacious and nice but the other 2 bedrooms were really tiny with queen beds and bathrooms were very tiny you can’t even open the door without hitting the sink. The toilet was very smelly after a day. Even with all those, we were still fine. What made it worse was the services. We asked for baby high chair 5 times (once before we arrive and 4 on the first and 2nd day). They all said yes, but no one brought it. The kettle was very dirty and oily, I asked for replacement. Since I need to boil drinking water for baby formula, it has to be clean. I washed 5 times and boiled water as well, and it was quite dirty. Even after the replacement. I was about to go out and buy a new kettle but the 3rd replacement was ok. I kept telling the reception it has to be clean for baby. The villa was advertised with kitchen photos and dining tables. But believe it or not, if you want cooking utensils (pots and pans and knives), you need to pay extra 1000 baht. We asked for extra blankets and they said they will bring. After few hours we called again and they said they ran out of blankets. (It’s weekday, and hotel isn’t full) We asked for extra towels, after 3 hours we called again and finally got it. The patio area was filled with bird poop and we asked for the maid to come clean it once we arrived. After she cleaned, there were still quite a lot. The grass area next to the swimming pool has a lots of cigarette buds. We finished the coffee capsules the first day and asked for it second day. They said they only provide coffee capsules for 1 night during each stay. I have never been to a hotel that don’t provide coffee. So if we stay 5 nights we still get only one day? Overall, we probably won’t come back.
