Wonder Van Khaoyai วันเดอร์แวน เขาใหญ่ — Hotel in Nakhon Ratchasima Province

We stayed in one of the Dome tents much like a Yurt but on a deluxe scale. The room was nicely decorated, immaculately clean and well appointed. This was the rainy season but the days are warm and the evening dry but thunderstorms can we watched over Khao Yai National Park. Toilet and shower was was excellent , love the strong shower pressures. Our private garden had a tube in which our little girl loved to bath alfresco, such fun. Breakfast and evening meals take at the room, great authentic Thai cooking, all produced to our convenience particularly in the evening when we went to watch the bats emerge from the local cave. Only 3mins drive or 15 mins walk from the resort the hillside contains a cave from which, at sunset, emerge millions upon millions of bats (Wrinkle-Lipped and Horseshoe) birds or prey and Hornhills feed on the bats and this cane all be observed from the lawns in front of the hillside. The grounds of the resort will cater from single groups, families and larger parties, again the play area for children was huge and well maintained. The north entrance of Khao Yai National Park is a short journey away providing its world class facilities, always a good day(s). Loved every bit of it! I stayed for three days and two nights in Dome number 1, and the experience was marvelous. The staff were really nice and kind and helpful, and the campus itself was really tranquil and peaceful, and filled with many activities to indulge in during your stay there. Breakfast was great, and they would even come to your van/dome and light a campfire for you upon request and give you some marshmallows to make s'mores. Definitely recommend to go play the activities and to have a bike around the area; stargazing is also a main highlight! If anyone has a camera, bring it to take brilliant long exposures of the stars. Last but not least, the sunset views over the mountains and farms is just a cherry on top of all of this. Location is secluded and very quiet. Very well done Wondervan!

P.S. Try not to go out after it gets dark, as the roads are very dark and narrow, you won't be able to see a thing without using high-beams. The nearest main road is almost 20...
