Prachuap Grand Hotel — Hotel in Prachuap Khiri Khan Province

One star for the breakfast. Zero star for the room. We booked the Junior Suite with city view balcany and we specifically requested for HIGHEST floor and QUIET room. We arrived on time for check-in and we asked the registration desk staff for HIGHEST floor and QUIET room. To our dismay, we're told there's no other room available. We were assigned to room 3127. We've been traveling in South East Asia for over 2 months, and this hotel room is the most impractical, absurd "suite" we've ever stayed in. It was a waste of money and space. Do NOT stay in room 3127. We asked for the HIGHEST floor. They put us on the 3rd floor (2nd floor is registration desk and restaurants. 1st floor is parking). The hotel has 7 floors, mind you. We asked for QUIET room. They put us in the room right next to the busy street where you can hear cars, trucks, motorcycles, and even pedestrians.

What's wrong with "suite" 3127: --There's no space or counter for our 2 luggage. There's no proper closet. There are some cheap coat hangers in the corner of the room to hang your shirts, but there's no hangers for your pants or skirts. --We booked a king size bed, but there's only 1 night stand, and if you want to charge your phone, the electrical plug is behind your pillows. A fire hazards waiting to happen. --Inadequate lighting. The room is a dark dungeon. And no, it was not intentionally designed to be romantic. It was just a cheap dark suite. --Moldy shower stall and clogged drainage. --Dirty sofa. Mishmash furnishings. Looks like leftovers from people's home. --City view?? The views of the next door dilapidated building, utilities pole, tree branches, and parked cars. --Noises from the street, hallway, elevator, and other guests. --Old, used slippers that belong in the trash.

What upset us most is that we were lied to. The registration desk guy told us there's NO other room available, but when we checked Agoda, Booking, and TripAdvisor...voila! Rooms available on all 3 online sites!!! What you see in their photos is definitely NOT the room we got. We love Prachuap town, but this hotel gave us some unpleasant memories....

Check in staff friendly and efficient. As we were staying over a month, we upgraded our room to a Skyview room and it was delightful. Big , bright and lots of windows for the great views. Separate living room with big flat screen tv, residential fridge, walk in closet 2 bathrooms and large bedroom with another large TV. Views of Monkey mountain and Gulf are fabulous. Room done in white tones and was very clean and relaxing. Very comfortable bed linens and pillows. |Breakfast was excellent, a good variety of Asian and Western, with requests for omelettes etc. Head chef always available for requests. Breakfast room staff are excellent and ready to assist. Hotel is not oceanfront but very centrally located, 2 blocks from waterfront. |We cannot say enough about this hotel and staff, best hotel in town. Particular mention must be made about the Resident Manager Khun William. Never in our 40 plus years of travelling and staying in hotels worldwide have we ever come across a more dedicated, customer orientated manager who goes out of his way to ensuring his guests have an enjoyable stay. His generous personality and his genuine desire to be of assistance is truly remarkable in the hotel industry. Nothing is too big or small for Khun William., Without a doubt this is where we will stay...

🛌 Room (Single bed) Room (overall) -The room is spacious with a view of sea and mountains. In the morning, you can open the curtain to see the light of sunrise.

Bed The bed is comfy with 2 pillows on the bed and an extra pillow near the door if you want more.

Bathroom Soft and gentle water streams are from the shower. Shampoo and bath gels are good.

The location is near the following attraction places: 1️⃣ Walking street (ถนนคนเดิน เมืองสามอ่าว) 🚶‍♂️ It is in the walking distance within 5 - 7 minutes. You can enjoy eating a variety of foods and shopping local products. Walking street opens around 4 - 9 pm every Friday and Saturday.

2️⃣ Night market 🚶‍♂️ It is in the walking distance within 5 - 7 minutes. You can buy cheap food you want and come back to the hotel easily.

3️⃣ Saran Withi Bridge 🚶‍♂️ It is in the walking distance within 5 - 7 minutes. It is near the walking street. You can take the stroll and take photos of sunrise 🔅.
