[The owner did something to have my review removed, so I am reposting it.] Shameless staff and owner! As soon as I arrived, the employee asked me where I was coming from (I hesitated but answered), then about where I was heading to the next day. Hearing this second (intrusive) question, I made a surprised face and asked how at all it mattered: your job is to check me in, take the payment and give me the key. The employee then put up a fight, raised her voice and wouldn't proceed with the check-in unless I answered these (private) questions. I ended up answering, told her that I was going to Korat, but she kept asking. All in all, I told her four times. She then said: "If I'm asking, it's because I want to tell you that the first train to the airport is at 5.55 a.m.".
The employee wasn't proceeding with the check-in at all, she just stood and looked at me. I then said: "Shall we proceed with the check-in?". She then said that check-out is at midday. I answered that I have a train to take at midday, so I will probably be checking out at around 9 a.m. She replied: "No, check-out time is 12". And again stood, looking at me. I got angry and decided to call the owner using the phone number listed here.
The employee also said that I haven't paid anything (it was a booking with no pre-payment) and that she doesn't need my money. She suggested I leave and look for another hotel.
During the phone call with the owner, I told her that her employee is not able to work and asked if she could come and work herself today. She refused, saying that she stays far. She also refused to fire her employee, saying that she only has one employee. This shows that even the owner thinks that such behaviour is fine and doesn't care.
I will not leave this unpunished. I will undertake action with the authorities so that this hostel loses its licence. This "business" should not be...
Read moreThis is a hostel near a train station not far away from the main airport of Bangkok. If you have to catch an early flight, this hostel is a convenient and cheap option.||||You must know that you will hear all kind of noises coming from the train station from 5am to 1am. What is more, the house vibrates every time a train arrives and leaves the station.||||The hostel is clean but they should check and empty all the bins more frequently. It looks like less tidy and organized than what you see on the official pictures. The garden is not comfortable because it has a lot of useless furniture.||||During the night some bad smell comes from the food stands next to the hostel. ||||Nevertheless, there is a 7eleven near the place. Free food available all day long (fruit, toasts, tea...). You can print your boarding passes or anything else for free. If you stay for at least 2 days, the will cook Thai food for breakfast. ||||In short, this is a good hostel if you are aware of its weaknesses and can sleep in...
Read moreThe staff are incredibly sweet and caring. There was signage saying that breakfast was between 7 and 8, but I rolled out of bed around 10:30 a woman named Tuk brought me a banana and coffee and had me choose something off a menu to eat. I didn't catch the other woman's name, but she speaks great English and is so kind and conversational. She loves giving guidance and is so proud of her country and loves to see people enjoying it. She remembers everybody's names and what they have going on and seems so motivated to help. It was a lovely stay. I spent 20 baht to ride the sky train that is practically their backyard and made it to my 12:30 bus with plenty of time to spare. I'm very happy with my stay, if I end up needing to travel from Bangkok I'd be happy to stay...
