We stayed here for 1 night as a stop over before continuing on to koh phayam. It is about a 20 - 30 minute walk away from the bus station depending on how lost you get trying to find nalin place. Probably better to take a taxi if you have lots/heavy luggage. There is a 7-11 about 2 mins walk away and on the next road you can take a number 4 red songthaew to the pier, but you still have to walk a couple hundred metres to the pier from the drop point. We stayed in a fan room for only 450baht. The room was big and very clean and quite modern. We had a mini fridge with two bottles of water, a chair and desk, a t.v and wardrobe. We stayed on the third floor so we had a small balcony with an amazing view of the mountains (see pictures attached) the bathroom was probably the best we have seen in lower budget guesthouses. The reception staff were very polite and helpful. We would of loved to stay longer but we just needed a stop over before going to the islands. Would definitely...
Read moreHaving arrived without a booking, I got offered a fan room as it was all they had available. Trying to sleep that night though was exceptionally hard due to the heat. (I'm used to Thai heat but this was extreme) I went down to reception at 11:30pm, explained that through no fault of their own, I was gonna take a walk and find an air con room. (I hadn't slept in 30 hours at this point after long haul travel). The lady at reception went out on a limb and moved me to an air con room, that was reserved, but the couple hadn't shown. She was sympathetic, friendly and could have easily just let me leave. Legend. Anyway great value for money, good location, comfy beds, quiet neighbourhood, can organise you to get to the nearby islands......
Read moreNalin Place-The bus from Khao Sok dropped us off in the middle of who-knows-where in Ranong but luckily we were able to walk to Nalin Place. We were surprised at how modern it was- one of the nicest places we've stayed in SEA! No elevator so request a lower floor if needed. Beds were a bit hard and we could only connect to wi-fi in the lobby, but aside from that everything was great. Nice hot shower. Mini fridge in the room. Patio even! No hotel restaurant but there's many of options a few minutes walk away. We walked about 15 minutes to Sunny Side Up for breakfast which was great. There's also a 7-11 close by with an ATM. It's about a 5 minute taxi ride to the pier which can be arranged by the front...
