The Nchantra Pool Suite - Phuket — Hotel in Ratsada

This resort is a scam. This was our experience. We arrived at the resort after travelling through some bad / slum type areas. Immediately we noticed the front of the resort looked old and outdated. We entered a nice lobby area and were greated by friendly staff. We checked in and were told about, breakfast buffet, dinner, shuttle services etc. We were about to be taken to our room but had to ask for our passports back before we followed the staff as they had ‘forgot’. The room was $150 aud so naturally we were hyped up in the moment thinking we had lucked out. The villa was three story with a private pool, jacuzzi and beach access. A little dirty with rubbish in the shower and an unclean toilet. After a swim we walked down the beach and found so much rubbish on the beach. As we walked back we looked back up into the resort and saw multiple abandoned villas that looked like they had been trashed. It has been about 1.5 hours and at this point we had seen no other guests. We went to the restaurant, bar and pool area next which looked nothing like the photos, very deserted. The pool was green, sauna not on and no guest or staff to be seen. We assumed it just wasn’t 5.30pm dinner time so we decided to go back. When we came back there were two men behind the bar, I saw a drink fridge with water and fizzy drink which was locked with a bike lock and I asked for water. They used a translator to tell us they were not employees, the chef was away, we would need to get water/food outside the resort, they didn’t have the key to the bike lock. At this point we went back to our room and started reading reviews. We had booked on Airbnb so we read those reviews which were fine but the google reviews were horrendous. Reports of the doors not locking, power going out at 2am, not seeing other guests. And unfortunately this was our reality too. There was no food, shuttle services, everything the staff had told us was a lie. We were deceived and felt extremely unsafe when we tried to lock our doors and noticed them damaged as if they were pried opened. We booked a bolt that wouldn’t come and finally managed to get a grab and went to a hotel in old town Phuket. DO NOT STAY HERE. this hotel is run down and abandoned. You will not be able to get food unless you drive elsewhere. There is report of people having things stolen from there room while they are out. Yes the villa is beautiful for a good price but it is not safe. And not worth sleeping with...

To Whom It May Concern:

I am writing to express my extreme dissatisfaction with my recent stay at your resort. It was, without a doubt, the most appalling experience I have ever endured.

Firstly, the rooms were disgustingly dirty. There was dust and grime everywhere, stains on the floor, and a foul odor that permeated the air. It was evident that cleanliness is not a priority at your establishment.

The service was equally horrendous. The staff were inattentive, rude, and seemed completely uninterested in assisting guests. Simple requests were either ignored or met with hostility. This level of incompetence is unacceptable.

The so-called "boss" of the resort was the worst of all. His attitude was arrogant and dismissive. When I tried to address my concerns, he was blatantly rude and offered no solutions or apologies. His behavior alone is enough to deter anyone from ever considering a stay at your resort.

Additionally, your website falsely advertised a shuttle service that simply does not exist. This false claim caused significant inconvenience and additional expense, as I was forced to arrange my own transportation.

The pool was another nightmare. It was filthy, with debris floating on the surface and a slimy film that made it clear it hadn't been cleaned in a long time. The surrounding area was no better, with a pervasive smell that made it unbearable to spend any time outside.

The final straw was the abandoned villas scattered around the property. They were dilapidated and gave the entire resort a haunted, neglected feel. It was clear that maintenance and upkeep are nonexistent.

In conclusion, my stay at your resort was an absolute disaster from start to finish. The filthy rooms, abysmal service, revolting pool, and overall decrepit state of the property made for an incredibly unpleasant experience. I demand a full refund and a formal apology for the ordeal I was subjected to. I will be sharing my experience widely to warn others about the disgraceful conditions at your resort.

This resort will permanently close soon and they try to milk out as much money...

I read a lot of the reviews about this hotel before staying and was a little worried actually before turning up but needed to have been. When we stayed the hotel was actually quite quiet maybe we were lucky but they were only half full. We had one of the rooms with the private pool. ||||From start to end the staff couldn't do enough for us in fact i would go to say they were the most attentive of any 4 or 5 star hotel i have been to in the last few years (which is quite a few!). ||||The hotel is really nicely done and for the money per night well worth the value. I think you can only ever compare value vs other hotels you stay at and for the cost per night the service, atmosphere and food is incredibly good. ||||To sum up a few things though: ||||Go there if you are looking for:||||A nice quiet stay||Excellent service||A good selection of food||Good drinks prices (even a shop on site selling beer at 50BT which you can pop in your own little fridge)||Fantastic pool on the beach||Privacy||||Don't go there if you are looking for a party. That is not this hotel. If you're looking for lots of local bars, clubs etc this is not the hotel for you, you could need to get taxis' all over the place.||||Lastly i want to address that i read some reviews that said the staff's english wasn't very good. English is my first language and I had zero issues at the hotel at all. Their English is very good seeing as it's their second language. I think people saying that are being very unfair. ||||I would go back to this hotel in a heartbeat....
