This resort doesnt claim to be a four of five star one, neither does the cottage rate matches those. Read through their webpage and I can confirm they live up to their promise, pretty fair value.||||Located at the end of a dead.end-road, it is a hideaway in all respects. If you are looking for a night and bar life, lots of restaurants around - it is not a place you should go for. If you need to stay close to business or - for whatever reason - can´t live without internet access, it might not be your´s as well ... sometimes WiFi works, sometimes it doesnt. And if it works - only in the restaurant area and at slow speed, but for free. There is not even a food stall or somtam shop close to the resort, what means something in Thailand ... If you plan to leave the resort once in a while, you should have a car at hand.||||The cottages are simple, thai-style elevated, with open-air bathroom (hot and cold water), TV (primarily Thai channels), aircon and stocked minibar. Not large, without wardrobe or cabinets, just a desk for TV and put some things on. Covered terrace with chairs and a table. And lots of green around and above the cottages.||||Breakfast buffet is arranged when well booked, otherwise a set breakfast per menu will be served in the morning. The range offered is limited and one might get bored with the choice after a few days, but quality is ok.||||Staff is shy, what isn´t unusual when going country (sea) side, but very friendly and helpful.||||We went for year-end and joined the (mandatory) year end event. Pretty positive surprise the way it was arranged and worth the fees. Great buffet with wide choice of food, music, show of more and less classical thai dance, lantern for everyone who wanted to air one, lottery and prize draw, champagne and small firework at midnight. Those who hadn´t enough yet, could get some midnight soup as well. Exceeded my expectations, as my experience with events like this isn´t particularly great.||||Great place to relax for a long weekend. For sightseers, I think one can cover the area in three to four days with the need to drive some distance going to places. Discovered accomodation here has moderate prices, but eating out is more expensive compared to...
Read moreQuiet and secluded, just what we wanted. Very nice and relaxing. You need to have a motorbike or a car if staying here as there is nothing near the area except other resorts. This is a place to stay if you want an escape from the city, and looking for a quiet place. Not a place if you are looking for nightlife.||||Beach - the view is great, but the beach itself is not nice. There were some plants with thorny flowers on the sand so have to wear slippers. A lot of seaweed as well. Would not recommend swimming here. Better go to Suan Son beach where the sand is powdery fine (not white though) while eating seafood! This is a place where locals go.||||Bungalows are quite old, and for us, that added to it's appeal. We love the open air toilet and shower. However, some kind of animal bit off my soap (bitemarks all over!), and there are bees that made me and my daughter scared to take a shower (but we didn't have bees in the other bathroom - we had the double bungalows). One time, my husband left the toilet seat up, and there was a frog in the toilet bowl when I was about to use it! We managed to make it jump out. So remember to keep the toilet lid closed. This was a very interesting experience! ||||The room is very basic - bed, bedside lamps, TV, DVD, refrigerator with minibar, electric kettle, etc. What we liked most are the towels folded in the shape of animals, and the nice lady even taught me how to do it. My kids really enjoyed the towels.||||The pool is nice an warm, however we only used half of the pool as the other half is too deep (up to 3 m) and we need to watch our kids to make sure they stay on the shallow side.||||The staff is great. Most of them cannot speak English, but they try their...
Read moreI had a truly perfect stay at Bann Pae Cabana for three days in October 2025. The best part of this resort is without question the people — the staff and owner are absolutely wonderful. They are warm, friendly, and genuinely caring, treating every guest like an old friend. Their kindness and attentiveness made my stay unforgettable. The resort itself is beautiful and peaceful, set on a quiet beach that’s ideal for swimming and canoeing. The water is calm and shallow, perfect for relaxing by the sea. The beach faces southeast, so you can enjoy stunning sunrises and even a touch of the sunset in the evening — an amazing experience. The on-site restaurant is very convenient, serving good Thai and Western dishes until 8 p.m. (I especially enjoyed their Thai food). My bungalow was well maintained and cozy, perfectly fitting the beachfront setting. This place is ideal for anyone looking for a quiet, relaxing escape with genuine hospitality and a personal touch. I sincerely thank all the staff and the owner for their kindness and effort — they truly make Bann Pae Cabana a special place. I hope the photos upload could explain to you how much I enjoyed the...
