From the moment I arrived, I was made to feel very welcome. I needed a Thai sim card to make calls, and Pu, the owner was more then happy to drive me to the 7-eleven to organise me a sim card. This was a great example of the kindness I was to receive many times over the course of my stay.||||The rooms were clean, and well equipped with a fridge and air conditioning. Read moreThis hotel is approximately 20-25 minutes away from the airport, costing us about 500 baht to get there. However, it was very close (about 10 minutes) to the bus station for getting the ferry to the islands- which was why we chose it!||Staff were very helpful in booking us taxis etc that would get us where we needed to be, however their English was minimal which added an extra challenge.||The rooms were clean and had everything we required - including a partially outside bathroom with an outside shower! Pool was clean and in a quiet area. ||We did eat here, and while the food was very nice- upset tummies the next morning (which may or may not have been related to that meal). ||All in all, a nice secluded one night night stay...
Read moreAn oasis close to downtown. Yes, could be tricky to find, but Google maps was spot on until it said "your resort is on the left!" It wasn't, it was right there on the right.||Large well kept, well laid out and clean bungalows. ||Very quiet.. Only birds and butterflies.. Lovely large garden with flowering shrubs and large trees.||Good swimming pool. Well kept. So clean the water was sparking (unlike our last hotel in Bangkok).||Owner is a lovely man, English speaking and works hard to keep the estate pretty and tidy. He built the resort for his children apparently, but they then up and went to New York to work leaving him to manage the business.||Will definitely stay there next month when we return to...
