Green Home Resort — Hotel in Surat Thani Province

Stayed one night in transit to Samui. The positives - the place I'd very new and clean, room was large and air con was frosty. The rate was cheap as well - $16 NZ. It's also very quiet.||||However - the resort is not in the city centre, it's a 15 minute tuktuk ride away and all the drivers we asked didn't recognize the address (in Thai.) it's also a 15 minute walk to amenities like restaurants and convenience stores, and it's in a residential area so there aren't tuktuks around. The cost of transport to and from the resort obliterated any savings on room rate. I wouldn't recommend unless you have your own transport or a bigger...

Green Home is located in a very nice housing estate. Serms to me that the buildings they occupy were maybe a school in a former life. We took 7 rooms of varying sizes. All VERY basic. Toiletries were not provided but are for purchase in the lobby. Large bottles of water in the fridge. Pool was empty/spa closed on our visit. Owner was extremely pleasant and helpful. The room, bed and shower was clean, I'm very happy about it. Very quiet area, mosquito net on the window, I had a very good sleep

Soap, towels and 2 bottles of water are included. There is a kettle near reception. Wonderful! The room has an air conditioner which I never use even here in Thailand, but maybe it's important for someone.
