Paragon Hometel — Hotel in Surat Thani Province

I don’t know where the pictures on the website came from for Paragon Hometel, because our room sure wasn’t that nice and not what I expected from the pictures. These are very basic rooms, old furniture, and the sheet and towel both had rips in them. I do have to say it was a nice size room with a separate bedroom and quiet. It’s more in a residential area and not within walking distance of much of anything. We were going to try and walk to the nightmarket, but it was on a very busy highway with no sidewalks so ended up not going. Plan on breakfast somewhere else, very basic. Room was very clean and accommodations was spacious including a separate living area and bedroom. We were staying in Surat thani as a stop over before going to Khao Sok National Park. We had arrived at the airport and did not know quite how to get to the hotel and did not really want to pay for a taxi. We called Paragon Hometel and that day they did not have their car to pick us up as it was in the shop but they were very kind to get us to to mini bus (100 B / person from airport) to nearby mall called Central Plaza, and pick us up in a their truck for free! Stayed here for a one night stop over before flying from Surat Thani airport. The hotel is in a handy location 5 minutes drive to Central Plaza shopping mall with many restaurants and easy to get to the airport approx 25 minutes away. Ideally suited to guests with their own car as there isn't much within walking distance although there is a tuk tuk service. The rooms are very spacious with a separate lounge area and are spotlessly clean. Service staff are all very friendly and accommodating. Would stay here again if...
