Rice Farm Villa — Hotel in Surat Thani Province

Where to start. This is quite a unique experience. Starting with the most welcoming staff at the main hotel (check out the atrium and koi pools inside WOW) these are wooden villas with beautiful raw stone showers and super clean facilities. A loft space for extra space or futons. The villas are compact but well laid out. A balcony over looks the rice paddy and the wildlife is the most relaxing music sounds . You can hear the fish jumping, frogs singing and other wildlife. Mosquitoes are present so be aware but the bends come with nets and the room has aircon (go across to lotus and get a citron candle to burn) the restaurant outside is super friendly with incredible food and staff. Family of four with some drinks cost 650bht I can’t fault our experience and will be using again on each trip. The cost was excellent and included breakfast.

Rice farm villa is new room of 100island hotel. It use the same reception and restaurant. There are a small hotel. I can feel that It is nature among the city. The atmosphere is great even I can the old building hotel.this place is refresh me. I can hear animal sound like we stay in countryside.||||I stay at the biggest villa which can accommodate 5 persons. One king and twin bed are on downstairs. 2 matters are on upstairs. There is only 1 bathroom. The room is clean and designed as a Thai Northeastern house. The function is similar to local rice farm house. I actually like this villa. It may because I stayed only 3 persons and 1 toddy. I reserved this hotel thinking that it was in the middle of rice paddies in a quiet location. In fact it is a new wing of the 100 Islands resort and spa. I just reread the description and it is really misleading as it does make you think you are in the middle of the countryside. ||Well, you are NOT! It's on a main road. There is a small, fake rice paddy in the middle of a number of villas. Rooms are quite small but very clean and the balcony area was nice but you are on top of your neighbours, not very private at all.||The swimming pool had not been cleaned since it opened obviously which was a shame. The pool in the main hotel was abandoned too. It must have been a wonderful pool once.||We ate in the restaurant and the food was nice.||Service was good at reception and at the restaurant.||Generally not a bad hotel but not what I expected...
